@Chucko: ... because every other company isn't also out to take all your money? lol, you're deluding yourself if you believe Microsoft, Activision, or whoever the chosen bad-guys-of-the-day are if you think they're the only ones trying to get a hand into your pocket. :3

I'll buy it, but I'm going to grumble and shake my fist in anger the whole time.

Im buying it with a SMILE ON MY FACE! I cant flippin wait to finally get some new maps. After going 20-0 five out of 7 matches this past weekend on the old ones, not mention one map I went like 41-13 all on Team Deathmatch, I seriously cant wait for some new playgrounds. I hear all the negative talk about the game, maybe its the fact that, well I play with several here, but around 10+ of my actual close lifelong friends, wife, dad and both brothers, and bro-in-law and including myself all get on frequently and play, Ive absolutely love MW2. Ive now dropped over 10 days playtime and my kills are somewhere around 21500 to 17300 deaths. All I can say, is they cant get here fast enough!

$15 for 5 maps, 3 new and two rehashes of possibly the two worst maps from Call of Duty 4. Laughable.

You could always, you know, NOT BUY THE MAPS!
You'd think it would be obvious. Also, do tin foil hats come in assorted colors?

Just let it happen.

Of course we don't have to buy them, it's just stupid that they expect people to buy it at that price.

Well, that is true. $3 per map seems like a little much...

If you think of it as 10 minutes per game, and then play 5-6 games per map, you're getting a hour's worth out of that $3.

That's pretty good value, actually.

Or you could use that $3 dollars, add a dollar to it and buy a comic book that is read in five minutes. (Sorry, the price of comic books now has made me, a former 100 title a month buyer, into a former fan of comics)

Actually, those two remade maps were by far the most popular and requested.

Or worse, Spend $15, or whatever the price is, on going to the cinema for a movie that is 2 hours long.

$15 man is that we all have left in the reserves, wow thats no surprise, wait............
Modern Warfare 2 stimulus. Well how about instead of buying add-on content lets go buy some Wii Points or anything downloadable instead thats new and support other developers. Problem Solved

I love it when peopl make excuses for pay DLC> Hey, just give ACTIVISION your bank account number and let them take what they need!

I guess the price on the box aint enough anymore. It not like software did not jump 20% this gen anyway - for you HD users anyhow. SOme of us still have SD TVS and we like our games to work even though we aint all rich and stuff.

You forgot Apple.

I agree that $15 is quite insane for 3 new maps and 2 old ones, but is that REALLY going to stop people from buying it? No. Personally, I think some people need to start thinking. I'm just dying to see this be referenced in the next Zero Punctuation review.

I agree V8 ninja - $75 for freaking games - and they aint carts, like the troubles N64 had, or the added cost6 of FX chip.

game cost are all outa hand, they gotta charge soi much even for successful games cause they aint got nothing saved up. ever thing is boom or bust now, even take 2 has had some real tough times and i dont like it

i dont want to keep paying more and more to keep this industry a going

and i love nintendo success but that just means 1rst part games never do go players choice and drop. hells sakes MKWii selling 20 million and $50 dollars, and just looka t Wii Fit 30 million at $85, good gravy yall!

The reason games are more expensive now is they have higher production costs. If the prices of the games didn't go up then there would be no "next gen."

I have no problem with DLC. It's there for people who really, really love the game they buy and want to squeeze more out of it. If they aren't so addicted to the game, there's no need to buy it.

ninsane

oh bullocks man. you can have all the next gen you want at less cost, exibhit a is "Nintendo!"

and this DLC is slippery just cause it is popular dont mean it is good meth is pretty popular in my town but look at thier teeth adn look ath their lifes.

and more and more DLC will take what you are paying for at retail, now ubisfot need you online to make your game work, no this, now that, now PS3 crashes cause the date is wrong and your games are locked out!

the age of data root managment is an age of abuse and we wil look back and cry and say this is where it all went wrong one day!

If you honestly think the production costs involved in making a Wii game are comparable to those of a PS3 or Xbox 360 game, then there really is no point in continuing this conversation, because you're not rational. Of course Wii production is cheaper.

Other than that, it's more of the same typical Nintendo fanboy crap. When did Nintendolife become invaded by these people?
