Anyways, how cool is this?

Kinda a bit of a let down for me looks pretty much like recent versions of Mortal Kombat more of the same rather than a reboot altho the video on youtube of somebody proposing a new vision for a film Mortal Kombat Rebirth looks quite good as for the Game same old if you ask me.

Ah I hear ya. I liked the Rebirth teaser, and I'm pretty sure Midway err.... WB Games Chicago knows what they're doing if they do MK9 in 2.5D.

lets hope they know what there doing rather than just milking it some i guess the proofs in the playing and as you said looks like the Wii might not get a version.

I'm definitely keeping an eye on this one! 3d graphics with the old school 2d gameplay and team battles! Plus the combo system and fatalities look sweet. I'm excited. Oh yes!

First, apologies to the fans, but . . . god I wish this ridiculous series would die already.

I have been a fan of the series is kinda running out of ideas altho i think if they can base a new one around the Rebirth teaser i think that may give it a fresh outlook.

Killer Instinct was always so much better than Mortal Kombat.

I thought Armageddon and vs DC Universe was meh.

Technically it's really MK 8. That crossover with DC was more of a parody on the series. It doesn't even have the extreme gore of the other games. This new one will have to have something new and fresh to bring to the table. Otherwise it's going to be hard to be interested. I'm actually getting rather bored with this series and this is coming from a huge fan since MK 1.

Is there really much more they could do with the Franchise

You'd really wanna see Baraka in the Nude maybe Lingeriealities see what Subzero doesnt want you to see

Doesn't look like a huge step forward from the classic series, but certainly better than the 3D ones. Looks more along the lines of MK4, one of my favorites. I like how it sticks to one plane for classic, simple play, but uses 3D to give it more interesting camera angles on the fly. I hope it doesn't suck; that's about all I can say about new MK games now.

anyway, this MK, look a bit faster and more fun to play then the last one.
It has a bit of a Street Fighter play style, with all the fast combos you can do.

I cringed when Kung Lao nailed Sub-Zero in the junk with that fatality.

Well, IMHO, the Mortal Kombat franchise shouldn't really die. They just messed up the formula in so many ways, and now they're looking for a return to form.
