Am I the only one who's excited for grappling hooks and full 3D mounting and traversal?
(Yes I am using the power of "am I the only one" to get this thread back on track!)

That, and hopefully not having to go through a loading screen on a frequent basis are the biggest reasons for my excitement, actually.
@Peek-a-boo Wrong. Capcom approached Nintendo when they saw the potential dev costs for the PS3.
The breaking point seemingly was when SCE's NA division blocked Portable 3rd HD from being localized because it didn't support PSN or trophies. It was then that Capcom and Nintendo worked out a deal.
@Haru17 Welp, all that's interesting.
Multiplayer being drop-in/drop-out is an absolute bummer, though.
@Tsurii Why tho? Uncharted 4 and The Wind Waker's rope swings were great, and that could only be exemplified by aerial fights with monsters or swinging to higher ground in an area.
I will admit that that was one of the worst Monster Hunter trailers I have ever seen, admittedly it had a lot to establish. It just needed more bold music and a clearer narrative through line. Also the next trailer needs to show other regions and monsters.
I really hope underwater is in despite all the denials we've seen. I would kill for an ocean zone even if it's just Lagiacrus and Ceadeus again.
@CrazedCavalier Why is that a bummer? It's more fluid than we've got, and you can invite friends specifically if you want.
@CrazedCavalier It'll take even less effort to press Y and watch other hunters fly in.
And I'd imagine these monsters will be dynamically balanced as hunters join and leave at will. Unless you have any evidence that your claims are true and that can't happen.
@Haru17 I could potentially see how that could work.
Really, I'm just more bothered than anything by the anti-Xers jumping for joy and projecting their hatred for arts and styles on Capcom's mindset and the potential for no XX localization.
I'm desperately hoping TGS has something to assuage fears for the series' overall direction.

I really don't think Sony really paid Capcom to not release this game on Switch, but didn't bother to do so on MICROSOFT? It seems like that isn't anything close to being possible or logical. You'd think Sony would try to get rid of its actual competition.
@crimsoncavalier Indeed, it's not as if Sony and Microsoft are paying the other companies to keep games like COD, Battlefront and pretty much every other third party game from appearing on the Switch...
Edit: If there was any sort of deal, it was concerning the announcement. Appearing at Sony's conference instead of the Microsoft conference (and imagine that, Monster Hunter at Microsoft after they ditched Scalebound, that would be something).
memoryman3 is like a monster from a horror movie. Anywhere you go on the internet that is even tangentially related to Nintendo or video games, you'll see him, crying about the lack of Daisy in any given game.
