But Nintendo has the 3DS, bigdog, which is the most major announcement to be made at E3. Im sure it will impress.
Exactly. Which is why it's going be hard to beat Nintendo at this E3. Sony's going to bring it, it's going to have quality, but there's just more that's going to come out for Nintendo tomorrow.
Microsoft's tech had the potential, if it worked well and the software was high-quality (at a good price-point), to realy clean out because it is so different than what is on the market. I'd bet Nintendo and Sony are smiling right about now.
And one thing that is not getting enough attention, and it should, is that Microsoft didn't announce a launch price. That's a biggie. If it's the $150 it's being reported to be, this is dead. I just don't see it being realy better than what I can get on the Wii and Sony, let alone for $150 bucks MORE than the core system purchase.
It's all about software. Microsoft sometimes just doesn't seem to get it sometimes. You HAVE to nail the software.
XBLA announcements were made on XBLA. I guess that's appropriate. Confirmation of the multi-player Castlevania blows their entire E3 presentation out of the water for me. XBLA needs to stop looking so tempting.
I didn't watch it yet. But the Gamespot liveblog of it certainly made it seem pretty underwhelming. None of the Kinect games seemed very impressive. That Kinectimals game.... that's just weird. Tigers? You don't play with tigers, or have them go get jump ropes. Also, to the people who were saying before how they thought the dancing game would just involve onscreen prompts...
" Harmonix took the stage to reveal Dance Central, a brand new music game that will use the Kinect technology to follow the player's body and track their motions as they follow on-screen dancing prompts."

What?! I didn't even know about that one.
But yeah, knowing nothing, just the words "multi-player Castlevania" make it definitely the most interesting reveal.
This. D: Will it be a XBLA exclusive? I already want it. Badly.

Of the 15, 5 (if the racing game counts) are sports games, 4 are workout games, 2 are dance games (Konami, makers of DDR, also have a dance game coming out for Kinect), and the other 4 are Game Part In Motion (yes, Game Party as in the one that was on the Wii), Kinect Adventures, Sonic Free Riders (uh oh), and Kinectimals.

I hope it's exclusive. It would be great to look at the PS3 folks gloating over GOW 3 and the Wii fans gloating about SMG2 and saying "suck it". LOL
I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.
It's called Harmony of Despair (I guess they wanted to shorten it as Castlevania HD, how clever?). It's been rumored for awhile now. XBLA only at the moment at least, and I think multiplayer is online only, or so the rumor unfortunately goes. Iga is behind it.
My overall reaction was a deep breath in, holding....holding..and then "...meh". Honestly I was not impressed at all. I am a 360 fan, but the only thing where I went "Cool!" was the new 360 redesign, and that is only because I live in fear of my current 360 rrod'ing (again) or my powerbrick overheating (again).
It was an O.K presentation. Seems it needed more focus on the non-motion controlled games but that was to be expected. Halo Reach looks pretty sweet, and I'm looking for to the Castlevania title.

I have an account on my brother's 360, so I can still buy it and play it. But since the game will be stored on the Xbox, and I don't own the Xbox, I won't feel like I "own" the game. If it was a retail title it wouldn't be so bad. Oh well, it won't bother me when I actually get the game. Here's hoping for a PSN version though.
