Topic: Metal Gear Solid Series

At least three games need to be played or watched on Youtube to fully understand the context of The Phantom Pain:
MGS 3 - Snake Eater
MGS - Peace Walker
MGS - Ground Zeroes

I never finished the first Metal Gear Solid. Something to do someday, I suppose.

what the...are you kiddin me? to me that is still the best metal gear solid game and my favourite game of all time. nothing comes close to the first mgs

@Ralizah yeah but the experience will be even better i think, when you played all the other games. the last trailer vor mgs5 showed "le efante terribles".

I don't like Stealth Games. Metal Gear Solid was more the one stealth game I could tolerate for any length of time on occasion. So as good as it is, I don't expect to get through it any time soon.

I did play some Snake Eater on Easy beforehand, though. That was fun, too, but lord knows if I'll ever get to it again within this lifetime...

PW definitely as it is directly before MGSV.

Some weeks ago I found in a Gamestop a new copy of MGS HD collection for 360 with a big "€ 3" sticker on it. I thought it was clearly a mistake, but surely I had great luck especially because I never played PW or the MSX games. So... five great games for € 3!!!

okay i have a problem. i am way to overhyped for the phantom pain right now. i'm listening to the music from the games the whole time, watching videos about the games, watching the amazing trailers for mgs5 and play ground zeroes again and again. i'm even dreaming about this.
what can i do to stop this??? :/

Metal Gear Solid is out dated. The whole Cyborg_Samurai thing is out done, including the inter-twining of series.

MetalGear into Contra into Snatcher

We know the beginning, we know the ending. The only thing I see Metal Gear around is an reason to purchase an PS4 so you can temporarily enjoy an version of the game that will be soon ported to PC.
