It's a complete remake that is claimed to have a better camera than the original game. One thing that bothers me though is that they are going to add additional secrets to the game, because the original game had a perfect balance of unlockables. It's one of the few games I completed 100 % without looking up anything online.
I remember playing the original demo so many times as a kid, I just about wore out the disc, I never did own the game when I was little but I've played the whole game since then and I loved it, the remake looks great.
It looks so dated in its gameplay style to me. But I do remember enjoying the original so I guess it could be good.
I doubt it'll be as good as the Spyro remake though.
I played the original game for the first time a few months ago. I'd been looking at finding an original disc, but this works better. Honestly, it's one of those games I thought would be dated and unenjoyable until I sat down to play it.

I also owned a demo disc with this game on. I played it so many times I got to the first boss before the 15 minute timer ran out, and the demo forced an ending when you did that. Eventually I bought the game and it was even better than the demo, with very imaginative worlds. The only real bad thing about this game is that the combat is somewhat awkward since it doesn't use any lock-on.
I too remember playing the crap out of this game on one of those demo discs, those things we so amazing!! As far as the remaster it looked a bit rough in the stream overall imo. Look forward to seeing some more extended gameplay but not too jazzed about it at the moment. At least the price is good!

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I think they should have semi-cell shaded the game, sort of like Breath of the Wild. What they've shown so far looks too jagged and harsh.
