For some odd reason I started Mass Effect a while back...but never gotten that far into the game, dunno why...lol

I have Mass Effect but I've only played it for about 15 hours or so. I'll play it through some day, I promise.

So I finally downloaded Mass Effect 1 from Steam, and would like to apply the patch* and downloadable content from the bioware website. The only problem is that when I try to sign up an account so I can download the files, the page think's I'm from Gabon, and won't let me change my country (due to its similarity with GB - shorthand for Great Britain).

I'm worried that as a "resident of Gabon", I'll be uneligible for the downloads - as most people are from outside North America and Western Europe, apparently.

Have any other British users been able to register their game and download the DLC and patch without trouble?

*The patch may have come with the steam vesrion. I don't know...
^{Also, I can't get it to run through steam, and have to run it manually.} EDIT: Whoops. Scratch that. I can't even get the game to run through the steamapps files. I've attempted to validate the files, but nothing doing.
