Topic: MAG reviewed - 7.0

I'll wait for a GameSpot review. They aren't biased.

COD is overhyped and overated as well as halo. out of all 360 games i would prefer mass efect but even that is not 360 exclusive and i have played halo and cod.

thing is i hate most of the people at gamespot. i like kombos review. 8.5!

You don't have to like the people, the reviews are actually pretty good.

Those scores average out as a 7.9, still not very good.

So you're judging the quality of the review based on the score they gave it, not how many facts it pointed on in the written section?

alright you dont even own a ps3, so i now love you and want to have your babies. the game is good. those of you who hate it probably have lives outside of the internet.

MAG is a game that you either hate or love.
Its not a good game but not a bad game at the same time.
There is no lag by the way,only rarely will you get lag or connection cuts but really something like that is expected with a game that has so much crap running at the same time.

MAG is not a master-piece,its not the best game ever,but its far from being a terrible game.

@BB Thrilla: Although it is true I don't own a PS3, it doesn't mean I don't respect it as a system. I've went over to my friends house several times to play on his PS3 for Uncharted 2 and the Ratchet and Clank games, as well as some others in the future that he'll get (and Tony Hawk Ride on one occasion, which I am glad I didn't buy.) Plus you say the game is good. 7.0 is good by the standards of IGN, as well as Nintendo Life. They said it was good, but that the game had many problems too, like balancing issues and frustration, which could be fixed with an update. They also mentioned the lack of content that you get, considering other games made before it have more modes, as well as the ability to play single player, like COD and Battlefield: Bad Company. Stop being a complaining about how other people have opinions that differ from yours. Oh, and I'll say it again: IGN loves the PS3, they love the Xbox 360, and they love the Wii. They except them all as great systems, and they admit they all have problems (which they point out.) The review stated their opinion thoroughly.

Like i said,MAG is a good game. NOT GREAT. Just good.
I wouldn't recommend it to people to who love COD.
Its a more slower paced shooter.

I don't see why people get so worked up over one review. If the reviewer didn't like it, then of course he'll give it a bad review.

People can't handle opinions. Simple as.

Good grief, this topic has gotten pretty heated, hasn't it? Does it really matter what one reviewer says about one game? It is that person's opinion, which everyone has. Besides, 7.0 is a good score.

The over-hyped games are over-hyped while the creepy, fanboy-ishly hyped games are treated as masterpieces, whether they actually deserve the title or not. So is life and everything sucky about the video game industry. This is basically the reason why I just stick to the awesome indie titles.

Hell, to be honest every game Nintendo makes is overhyped.

I loved these, and they were hyped to death. They are regarded by many as masterpieces and games that changed the industry. Of course, our definition of hyped may be different.
EDIT: I only listed 5 games, but they were most certainly not overhyped. Most of the time, though, you're right.

All of the first party games from every console are overhyped.

as much as i hate gamespot, they gave this game an 8/10, which is a better score than IGN, seeing as how that video ign put up for the review was halarious, becuase he complains he dies and hes not with his squad at all, so he has no room to talk. anyway, good job gamespot!
