Meh. I guess I'll just wait for the PC version that's coming out in the Fall.
EDIT: Why do we just have "(insert game here) gets (insert score here) from IGN" threads? Why don't we have Metacritic threads that state the overall score and shows a positive video review and then a negative video review? That just makes more sense to me.
Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar. Please contact me before using my custom avatar!

So according to Gamespot, the story mode is incredibly bad, but the online mode isn't.
Well, I'm gonna get the game anyways, because I don't give a crap about Story Mode. It sucked in the orginal and it looks like it sucks now. It's all about the online for me.

Thats one I don't have to buy then.Thank god.My 'want' list is getting silly at the moment . First one was meh', I didn't care for it really so no biggie for me. I'll forgive Capcom this time though ,they make some damn fine games.
It seems like he was nitpicking some things that many other games have as well. Like a story mode, Modern Warfare 2 has a really bad story mode too, does that mean it lost points as well. The control mode, activating, button mash, many games have similar things like GoW and any other quick time events in games. Also, waiting for animations to finish is something many games have (like Monster Hunter) and it makes the player focus more on strategy and not ramboing everything. I haven't played the game, I'm just trying to make sense and provide another viewpoint from what this poor reviewer did.
Yeah, the first game was terrible, did not expect much better from this one.

Wow, just watched the Gamespot review and this one sound worse than the first No checkpoints during missions, some missions are just frustrating with one being "contender for worst level in history". The game is apparently really big on knock-backs, so a lot of times you will get repeatedly knocked down and be absolutely helpless and die. That is, when you don't get knocked into some instant death trap like water (gasp). Oh, and the A.I. is supposedly terrible.

Checked on Metacritic and it's 74% right now. It did get a few scores that were above 80, so a couple of people liked it pretty good. Based off all the reviews though, it's pretty clear that single player is not the way to go.
