For those expecting a complete new game, look away. The game will use the same engine that powered LBP1,however it will have some huge huge tweaks to it.
Tons and tons and TONS of new stuff has been revealed already. Its crazy how much new stuff their adding to the game.

Except that the level creation tools are already much too abstruse (not to mention tedious) for almost everyone. While this all sounds like heaven, I don't see how complicating the game is going to make it any easier to make levels. Unless they reveal a complete overhaul to the editor so that it looks more manageable like ModNation Racers' looks, I'll remain skeptical... as amazing as the idea of it is.
That's cool and all, but I'm more concerned with the amount of content there will be for the game rather than the new editor. I'd rather have a somewhat long campaign that includes a good amount of all the genre-specific levels than a game that has around 3-6 levels per genre and then forces you to search the barren wastelands of user-created content for more replay value.

Yes, you can finally tweak the atrocious physics. An example was given in the linked article that someone made (or could make) a Yoshi's Island clone, complete with floaty physics. Physics tweaking is more exciting than anything else. They should just patch the original to allow that instead of releasing a new game that basically sounds more like a software development kit for dummies than a game.
Yes you get to tweak the physics in the game now and how your character is able to jump.
And I agree, the level creator is a pain and is simple yet somehow....complicated...

the level creator is so easy to use but somethings are complicated. definitely not a pain, of course making a level will take time and get frustrating. BUT IT LOOKS AMAZING. probably GOTY 2010!!! no halo reach wont be... i played the beta and it sucked! EDIT: IT WILL HAVE A NEW ENGINE! http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/05/10/littlebigplanet-2-f... one of the replies to the comments says it.

@BB Thrilla: didn't we already have this out in a different thread? Just because other people had difficulties with the LBP level editor and are expressing their experiences online does not mean the problem is with them. If you don't agree with what Adam (and others, as he was not the only one as i recall) had to say about it, ignore him; leave the 'hater' BS and the insults out of this thread plz.
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

One thing getting left out is that it Will incorporate Move wich will be a major help in level creation. I found the level creator really easy to use, I have quite a few really good levels that can't be published as they aren't appropriate lol. Seeing how great some of the user levels are, I'm guessing by adding more to the editor is mainly for the ones who will drop hundreds of hours into level creation.

Also, I didn't even say anything about the level editor being bad (though it is -- it's the worst editor in the history of level editors). I just said the physics are bad, which even the LBP development staff agrees with. They said as much shortly after release, so argue with them. The option to tweak physics should have been there from the start, but the fact that they're adding it is only further acknowledgement of this shortcoming.
