Also, this isn't the unpopular opinions thread, but I always thought FF6's soundtrack wasn't all the great. I ended up getting the whole soundtrack, but I honestly can't think of any memorable tracks like I can with FF7 or 8, or even 4 or 5...
Truth be told, I was gonna say Sonic Chronicles, then some else did it, so I was trying to think of worse music. But then block hit me....
Until this hit me-
Sounds good at first, but then the games throws the song at you over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
I kinda like that song, but the Crush 40 version is better!

I still cant believe that a composer hired a ghost writer for this mess.
Horror music isn't usually good music to listen to out of context. It's supposed to set a certain mood, a mood that is often unpleasant. Resident Evil's music is pretty good for that.
Really, this is kinda why I don't listen to OSTs unless it's something that I know by heart, or the music is for some reason incredibly exceptional to the point that it transcends its original intent - A lot of OSTs are meant to be listened in context, either they set the mood, or they amplify the mood set by the visuals. IMO, they simply don't work nearly as well on their own.
@CanisWolfred This song matches the mood of the police station absolutely perfectly, while that basement theme didn't. Also, I just found this song way better than the basement theme, maybe we have differing opinions on music

Yeah, guitars are cool.
My musical project Comet Tail made a couple of recordings.

Again, this is why I find OSTs work terribly out of context. It's hard to guage exactly what the context is without the visuals, since they usually are supposed to work together to set the mood. I think the only OSTs I liked on their own were The World Ends With You OST, and both of the .Hack//SIGN OSTs. They're both helped by having vocal tracks, so the lyrics make it easy to visualize a fitting situation and grasp what the context was supposed to be, ultimately telling a story all their own without need of the original context.
Oh my god, I knew exactly what that was, but I listened to it regardless...it's not a terrible song on its own, but it's one of the most unfitting battle themes I've ever encountered...and after a few hours of grinding, I had to mute my PSP to save my sanity...listening to it even one more time almost drove me over the edge...
The King of Fighters 2001 Soundtrack is my least favorite from the series. I was really disappointed, even more so when it came after KoF 2000 (which has one of the best music in the series, IMO).

The problem with Persona 1 PSP soundtrack namely comes from how JPop doesn't really fit Persona 1 or 2 at all, being how they're definitely more SMT like than 3 or 4. Not to say its bad of course, just hugely unfitting.
Now...
Cry if you remember this.
For those who don't why it's bad, its simple. This is one of the 2 songs in this game, and guess what? This is what you'll be hearing, THE ENTIRE TIME. Feel free to cry as well.
My shoulder is well toweled.

After the 100th time, I started making a game of it: try to figure out what the singer is actually singing. The fun of it is that the English is so mangled that I come away with a different set of lyrics each time.
