Topic: Just got an Xbox...

Anyways, I'm obsessed with collecting older consoles. I love the sixth generation and got the forth and final console from that era. This is also my first Microsoft console. However, I want to know what games are often recommended for it.

So far I have Doom 3 with Halo and Morriwind coming later through shipments. I'm pretty sure that alone will last me for a while, but I want to know if anyone else on this forums has this console (or plays ports of the games on future consoles), and what games they would recommend for it.

I really enjoy the two Unreal Championship games that released for the original Xbox, but most of that was because of the Online Multiplayer which can't be played anymore. Fable is a game a lot of people enjoyed, I didn't really care for it, but others love it.

KOTOR (Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic) 1 & 2 are must haves.

Also Jade Empire, and Conker Live and reloaded.

The original and, in my opinion, the best Xbox was as close as we got to a Dreamcast 2, which is why I loved this console so much.

You had Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller, the ESPN games (American football, baseball, basketball, ice hockey and winter games), Gunvalkyrie, Headhunter Redemption, House of the Dead III, Jet Set Radio Future, Otogi 1 & 2, OutRun 2 (and Coast 2 Coast), Panzer Dragoon Orta, Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II, Puyo Pop Fever, Shenmue II, Sonic Heroes and ToeJam & Earl III: Mission to Earth.

Also, the spiritual successor to Metropolis Street Racer arrived on the Xbox in the form of Project Gotham Racing.

The GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox generation will never be bettered!

Indeed. The old one might be good to peruse for recommendations to to new owners, though.

i owned one back in the day but am just now collecting so i can play the stuff i grew up playing and get the stuff i missed 90% of the games are super cheap so its a great console to collect for on a budget and the hardware is loads of fun to hack or repair

As long as reviving posts are relevant to the topic and not just random spam as ''I agree'' or ''lol'', then it's okay to post there. After all, there's no point in making new threads when we already have one. I'm talking about game or console specific threads by the way.
