Does anybody know where I can get Xenogears for less than $70? I bought a PS One from a friend for pretty cheap a few months ago, for the sole purpose of playing it (I was nearing the end of Xenoblade), but I greatly underestimated how rare the game is. If anyone has found a place to buy it cheaper than $70, it would be very much appreciated!
I don't think it's rare as much as overpriced.
I heard that a few years Square-Enix supposedly did a reprint, but scalpers quickly bought them.

Yeah even the Greatest Hits version costs that pretty much everywhere . Short of risking rather used copies or getting a PS3 / Vita and getting the PS Classics version for 10 bucks, not a lot of options

eBay has plenty of copies going for much less than that.

I'm going to be that one person here, but i'm gonna say One Piece: Romance Dawn. I played through the entire game, and if you can get past it's flaws, then it's alright (wasted 60 hours on it level grinding)
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

/tangent but is Romance Dawn worth it? I know it's going on sale this week, that's why I'm considering. I know there's a lot of complaints about it, but I was looking to play something passive anyway.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
Yikes, lots of great suggestions here guys, thank you! I do have a Wii, but it's been gathering dust for a little while now. Something tells me I might have to dig it out again. I'll go for Chrono Trigger first, seems to be very highly regarded.
For the PS3, I'll recommend Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (for Phantasy Star 2 & 4 and Shining Force). If you have a 360, there is Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey.
I don't want to steal the spotlight here, but has anybody played the English version of Shin Megami Tensei on iOS? It looks really interesting, and at only $8, it seems like a really good deal. I loved Etrian Odyssey IV and Shin Megami Tensei IV, if that helps. So should I get it?

Really? I didn't find many there, although I guess I didn't search very hard. Thanks for all the advice, people! Now when I get the game, the only problem will be if I can find time to beat it. I've heard the storyline is about as long as Xenoblade. And playing that during the school year was pretty dang hard. Hopefully, I can get a lot done over the summer.
"The future doesn't belong to you!"
Waiting for: BOTW 2, Metroid Prime 4, Xenoblade Chronicles 3

PS1 era JRPGs were longer in general. 40-60 hours was pretty typical for a first playthrough, sometimes as high as 80. Xenoblade was the rare Gen 7 RPG that ate a solid 60 hours just to play through the main storyline.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Drop everything and get that game. Just be prepared to to write down everything NPCs say because good luck finding those people again...

these are more JARPGs, but I'm be remiss if I didn't HIIIIGHLY recommend Ys Seven (PSP) and Ys: Memories of Celceta (Vita) - two of the finest games ever created.
Secret of Zelda Mana times 240.
