Ashley is the only WarioWare character to have an Amiibo costume in Super Mario Maker other than Wario himself.

Nintendo releases an Ashley theme on Japanese 3DSes at nearly the same time they post an official Ashley comic even though there's currently no new WarioWare announced and Game & Wario came out over two years ago.
What do you think?

Although I guess Ashley would make sense, she's been getting a lot of representation lately and Wario Ware fits phones perfectly. I'm hoping for Kirby though. A tilt 'n tumble sequel is too perfect to not do.
While I think that a WarioWare game would be perfect for phones, I think Nintendo will want to play it safe and go for a well known franchise like Mario or Zelda for their first mobile game

As neat as that might be (for Wario series fans like myself), I somewhat doubt it. Ashley isn't popular enough in the mainstream to headline Nintendo's first ever smartphone game. They'd stick with a more well known character and franchise for that, like Mario or Zelda.

Topic: I'm now starting to think Nintendo's first game with DENA is going to be a WarioWare spinoff starring Ashley.
