i really wonder why sony is doing this the only reason they r realesing pspsgo and ps slim because sony is losing money this genPS slim:the same thing exect bigger hard drive and NO PS2 SUPPORTPSPgo:the same thing except smaller and no umds (and aka there r no umd transfers and U CANT USE U PSP MEMROY CARD)
Exactly. This whole "Digital Downloads is the future" bull crap is so funny.Digital downloads tend to be crappy shoval-ware (WiiWare,DSiWare and Apples downloads....yes becuase all 22,000 of those games on that service are amazing right? LMAO)
Also UMD's just appeal to me as they are disc based and can hold alot without needing a godamn memory stick.

Digital downloads are the future. Of course for now they're using these smaller sized titles as a trial measure, but soon I believe all games will be delivered digitally.

Hang on...you can have digital downloads on PSP 3000's aswell as UMD's?
OMG....LMAO....why the heck are they buying the more expensive rip-off PSP Go????? LOL

So are they actually going to have EVERY PSP game available to download as an alternative? I can see potential if that's the case.
If not, then it's not for me.
If so, then I hope it's a LOT more comfortable to hold than a PSP (and to Sean007, with most things you'd have to hold it before you can judge its comfortability), and I may consider getting one.
Feel free to add me to any of the listed consoles or services here :D just let me know who you are!

Wrong.Sorry dude but Apple are idiots when they said that(i recall someone saying it)I prefer like many many many of us to have PHYSICAL COPIES of our games. What happens when your PSP has all that data in them and then breaks?....bye bye bye bye...to all your DL's.

There will be 700 PSP games available for download on October 1st.
28. Posted: Sun 27th Sep 2009 22:45 BST
Nope, and currently have no plans of getting one anytime soon.

Sean Apple isn't the only company taking things in a digital direction. Just like music is going the way of digital distribution, so too will games and other media like movies and TV shows. It's coming, whether we like it or not. And of course the regular PSP is an option. I never said otherwise. I'm just getting the PSPgo because the UMD-less features appeal to me for carrying it around on trips and such.

It will change. Consoles in the future will not use a physical media because it's becoming impractical. Not only economically, but in terms of distribution and costs of doing so. Right now these companies are just giving these digital download services a try to feel it all out. It's not practical to go completely digital in everything right now. But I believe eventually, it will be.

700, that's actually quite impressive.
Though I am one who prefers physical copies of their games, downloadable games are cheaper, and I only keep Nintendo based games anyway, I sell 90% of my non-Nintendo published games when I'm done with them.

Its not the future. If that was the case then i think ill give up on gaming. You can look on google at the amount of people who DO NOT WANT THE PSP GO aswell as the retailers.
Music is different. Its not as expensive nor is it more say...entairtaning.Games are expensive and cost alot. Im not wasting my damn money on the PSP Go just like alot of us.

I'm not just talking about the PSPgo. The PSPgo is an experiment. It's Sony trying out the waters of a digital-only game system. I have no way of knowing if it will succeed or fail. I'm just excited about the prospect of seeing what it will be like.

I think (if anything) I'll just get a really good used 3000 that I saw at a local store, instead.
