Topic: I won't be getting a Playstation 3 this Christmas.

Guys, I have some bad news. I cannot get a Playstation 3 this Christmas. I did not change my mind on owning it, it's because my family is in a horrible economic situation (My grandparents are retired), so we can't afford it. My grandmother didn't say I wouldn't get a Playstation 3 this Christmas, but she said our family won't be able to have much of a Christmas this year. It sucks.

Now I know what your thinking that your going to try to suggest ways that I can get a PS3 this Christmas, but no, I don't need any suggestion now. The economy is horrible and my grandparents need money, so I'm not taking any suggestions on how I can get a PS3 this Christmas.

Now I'm not saying I'm not ever getting a Playstation 3, because I am going to try get one next year, but for people hoping to see me on PSN this Christmas, I'm sorry, but it's not possible. Right now, the only way I could possibly get a PS3 this Christmas is if I can save up $340-$380 by the end of this year, but that's nearly impossible to do. Why?

1. I don't have a job.
2. I have no ways of making money fast.

As you expect after reading this sad news, my holiday will be dedicated to the Wii and DSi. Hopefully, $250 isn't too much for my family to take.

Well, congratulations on not getting a PS3 and not wasting those $300!, Hope you can enjoy that money you are saving, now you can get Wii Fit Plus and New Super Mario Bros. Wii!

OMG I really struggle to understand kids these days. I never expected owt when I was a lad, and was grateful for what I got. The kids who get everything handed to them on a plate end up being ****'s later in life.

So be grateful SSBFan that you won't be getting a PS3, I imagine you don't deserve it anyway. At least your family will be able to eat while you are sulking in the corner.

I'm truly devastated

I only had one home console, the NES, the entire time growing up, and only got 1 or 2 games for it a year, if that. I also walked 10 miles in a blizzard to school every day.

I think I just made the last part up, but you get the point.

@Machu: Wait a minute. I know I really want a Playstation 3, but I don't need one. I can defindently wait until A): I can finally afford one or B): A new Nintendo console is announced. Also, I would never cry over not getting a system, I just wanted you people to know that I won't be able to get one this Christmas.

@Reala: It's not a big deal, it's not like I have to get the PS3. Beside, I already have a Nintendo DSi this year, so I won't need one. On top of that, my family is in a bad economic situation, so I'm trying to save money.

@ssbfan: Then stop making a fuss about it then (which you have to admit you do).

You've got the rest of your life to game, I'm pretty sure you could be putting more effort into your school work rather than creating topics no-one wants to read. You probably think I hate you the way I go on, but I don't. You just remind me of what is wrong with the youth of today, too much time with their heads up their ass worrying about crap like this. As an adult, I love the internet, but I am really concerned as to what is doing to future generations. Now go do something nice for your family.

my folks wouldn`t even entertain the idea of spending 300 bucks on my entire christmas list, let alone just one present.
be thankfull for what you get, because you`ll soon be at the age where you have to work, and earn every penny to get what you want.

Sorry dude. We're also asking for one, but I don't think the same outcome will happen. Hope you can get one eventually.

I regularly buy games for the PS1 or other old consoles. There are many great games out there and they are really cheap when buying used. So I don't have to pass on games even if there is little money in the piggybank. I am always very thrifty when it comes to video games but have no problem with it. I'm playing pretty much, though.

If your family's really in dire straits for whatever reason, SSBFan1999, I think you'd better be thankful for whatever you get and quit worrying about dollar amounts. Machu had it right the first time IMO; it's not all about you... i mean seriously, what are you going to get (or do) for your family this holiday season?

kid you shouldn't post this crap on a forum about video games! and my parents would never scrap 300 dollars to buy me a ps3 seeing as i have two sisters who would also want something for Christmas!!! im getting a ps3 with my own money that ive saved up! so if youre gonna post this crap, do it on fml or something like that! someone needs to lock or delete this topic, this kid is p***ing me off!
