I know this question will not be answered too soon since it's Xmas, but maybe it will be answered before I get home tomorrow afternoon. Anyway, on to the question. My PSP 3000 has had Firmware 4.30 for a long time. But a couple of months ago, I bought Dissidia:Final Fantasy and my PSP updated to 6.00 by updating through the game. Since then, I have been able to download PSP games off the PSN Store by downloading them to my PS3 and transferring them to my PSP. Due to my current internet setup, I have only figured out how to connect my consoles to the internet and have not been sucessful in connecting my handhelds to the internet yet. I recently downloaded some games for my PSP, and two of them were Metal Gear Solid:Portable Ops and the Metal Gear Solid:Peace Walker demo. However, when I tried to play either of these games, I figured out that they required Firmware 6.01 in order to play either of them. My question is:is there anyway to update my PSP via an USB Cable connected to my PS3. If not, is there any way to update my PSP without connecting to the internet or buying a new game?

Since you're connecting to your PS3, I assume via Mini-USB cable?

If so, here!
