Topic: I have a week off from work. What should I play from my backlog?

Hey there.

I have an entire week off of work coming up and want to tackle on of my backlog games. Here is the list that I have to chose from. Which one should I play?

Stupid Invaders - Dreamcast
I love point and click adventure games. I also have the VGA box and the Mouse for the Dreamcast which this game supports.

Odin Sphere - PS2
I always enjoy a good RPG. I am not too familiar with Action RPG's outside of the old Eye of the Beholder games as well as Secret of Mana. How much twitch is in this one versus though out strategy & tactics?

Metal Gear Solid - The Twin Snakes - GC
I think I played about halfway through this way back when it first came out. I honestly don't remember much of the story except for a few highlights.

Resident Evil - GC
I watched a friend play the first third of this game back in 1995. I have never touched my copy of the remake. Is this as good as they say it is?

Dragon Quest VI - DS
I played though IV and V when they came out. I thought that V was one of the best JRPG's I have ever played. Does VI hold up to it?

The World Ends with You - DS
Not sure about this one. I played about an hour when it first came out and was not left with a very favorable opinion. However, as you all know this one made every "Best of the DS" list out there. Is it worth the hype to spend my free week on?

Radiant Historia - DS
Heard a lot of good things about this one. Sounds cool on paper.

Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey - DS
I was about 10 hours from completing Persona 4 when I bought a home and it got forgotten in all of the new responsibilities. Honestly, at this point in time, I don't have enough memory to get back into it and finish it. Does Strange Journey take 100 hours too? It may be too long of a game if so. Otherwise, I love the demon fusion mechanic, and am still quite familiar with the magic system.

Super Paper Mario - Wii
Is this top tier, or merely mid tier? How well did they pull off the mechanic mixing of the two genres?

Cursed Mountain - Wii
Another adventure game. As I said, I love the genre. So much so, that an adventure game review of 80% means 95% to me. Has anyone played this?

Little King's Story - Wii
This one always makes the best of Wii lists. Are the minor frustrations worth it in the long run?

Thanks anyone who cares to read this and offer up their opinions. Christmas break can't come soon enough!

RADIANT HISTORIA. Best game on the DS.

With that much free time I'd suggest going for one of the RPGs mixed in with Twin Snakes or REmake since they're considerably shorter and can break up the questing.

I hear VI is the weaker of the DS Dragon Quests but I haven't played it so I dunno for sure. Personally I'd dive into Radiant Historia, that one seems like a winner.

An entire week should be enough to get you through Radiant Historia if you buckle down and go for it, lol. RH is amazing! :3

Thanks everyone!

pikky: Have you played V? If it is better than that one I would feel very very tempted. IV fell flat for me. So much potential, but in the end it didn't gel like I thought it would.

pixelman: Every time I walk by this one it calls to me...

JonWahlgren: Two would be one too many methinks... of the two, which do you prefer?

Again, thanks everyone!

Since no one's said it yet... Little King's Story! Amazing game.

Lol, I was partially kidding, because I haven't played it yet, but I want to get it sometime. But yeah I loved V, and since the DQ games are more or less the same gameplay-wise, I'd suggest Radiant Historia which i also haven't played D:

Paper Mario for the Wii! Mainly because it's the only one I played and it's the only one whose awesomeness I can vouch for.

Radiant Historia and/or Little King's Story. TWEWY and Super Paper Mario are cool choices too though!
