As a Wii U and New 3DS owner recently I've had a lot of games to play through on both systems with the releases of Kirby, Splatoon and the incoming Yoshi not to mention a backlog of unfinished sidequests in the 2 Bayonetta games, Hyrule Warriors, Smash, and MK8 on the Wii U, and Majora's Mask, Codename STEAM, Xenoblade, and even Pokémon Shuffle on the 3DS. But I wonder how much more will Nintendo will be releasing before the end of the year.
Every so often I take a long look at the PS4 and question if there is anything I really want to play, and apart from Arkham Knight and a few games off in the distance I have decided to leave it for now at least. For me E3 this year is the first in a long time that will push me one way or another into if I buy a PS4, or if Nintendo can keep me happy to stay on their platforms. I'm not core gamer, but I don't think I'm a casual gamer either. I just need something to divert my attention from reality for 10 hours or so a week and if Nintendo can provide this, I don't see the point of owning a PS4. Likewise if Nintendo is a bit barren for the rest of the year AND so is the PS4, I still don't see the point of giving Sony my cash for the near future. I'm pretty sure the XB1 isn't for me due it's Shooter heavy line up.
Will E3 make your mind up to buy a Wii U, 3DS, PS4, XB1, or PC, or have you already got the console(s) you want this cycle?
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
Price drop and 1TB HDD might mean buying a PS4. Games announced would have little influence on that decision, as I would mostly be buying it for local multiplayer fighting and action games that are already out/announced/rumoured (Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, Tekken, SoulCalibur, Dynasty Warriors, etc). Western studios are all porting to PC these days anyway (Witcher 3, Arkham Knight, MGS5, and Deus Ex are all on my Steam wishlist) and Japanese studios are putting most of their interesting games on 3DS/Vita.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
If I were to add up my PC, Wii U/Wii and N3DS backlog, I'd definitely be in 3-figures for games, which probably means 5 or 6 figures for hours. There's a few prominent PS3/4 games I'd like to try (Red Dead Redemption, Last of Us, Bloodborne, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted), but I really don't have the time for one gaming device, let alone 5, so I won't be getting tempted any time soon I doubt, unless an amazing new IP comes out, but I've managed to resist the above titles so I can't see that happening.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
I only own two consoles per generation purely because I do not have the time - nor money - to buy let alone fund all three so, it is all about the upcoming games for both the Wii U and PlayStation 4!
I would be more than happy to see a new Metroid game in some shape or form, be it on the 3DS or Wii U, and if The Last Guardian (hopefully) rises from its long slumber, Sony shall single handedly 'win' E3.
That is the main reason I want to know what MS and Sony have up their sleeves. I have a gaming grade pc that makes most third parties NOT be system sellers, so if they don't deliver I'm just going to buy a new GPU later (I want to build a MAME computer so this is an excuse to get started on it). I have my fingers crossed for the Dragon Quest Heroes Ps4, as I'll buy that even if there are no good games on the horizon. I've had to stop myself from buying the darn thing twice this year. So far I'm not impressed with either system but I like to own everyone so I can play what I want when I want. However, if they don't start kicking out some great exclusives I wont get a system until the new ones get announced (I've never waited this long since becoming an adult).

I won't buy anything on the strength of promises. Unless there is a system with a whole load of stuff available immediately that I want (And that is exclusive or vastly superior to other options) then I won't buy it.

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
I already own all the consoles I care about this gen (everything besides the Xbone). Sony is going to have to really sell me on the idea of purchasing a presumably expensive VR headset, though.
I own a Wii U and 3DS so I get all of the Nintendo exclusives and I'm looking into a PC so I can get all the games I missed last-gen as well as Batman: Arkham Knight this gen. I really couldn't care less about Microsoft and Sony exclusives.

Already have the PS4, so far ? not impressed, exclusives have been terrible besides Bloodborne. sadly my gaming PC puts PS4 performance to shame, but anyway i got that for the exclusives and been really dissapointed. I never expected to get multiplatform games on my Ps4 (i do have a few) but i got it for the exclusives, so hopefully Sony can deliver.
My WiiU its in another situation, while i havent played it THAT much lately (Im getting Splatoon today so that may change), ive been happy with the exclusives, they are different enough so it was worth it (and i got it in a sale so it wasnt that expensive)
And the 3DS its for outside and "bed gaming" and it has delivered, like not many systems have ever done
I own a Wii U and 3DS, and I'm pretty sure I'll give myself a PS4 for Christmas this year. I don't see E3 changing that one way or another, as there are already a few games out that I want (especially The Witcher 3), and some already announced too (such as FInal Fantasy XV and Street Fighter V).
I guess there's still time for Microsoft to convince me to get a Xbox One instead of a PS4 (I'm certainly not getting both) if they put together an E3 presentation with loads of interesting stuff. I'm not holding my breath, though, as I generally dislike that console's exclusives. A new Banjo-Kazooie game that remains true to the series's N64 legacy would be a start.
This E3 may push me towards either of the HD twins. Even with my love of Kamiya I have my doubts with Scalebound. But MCC, Forza and Sunset Overdrive look very interesting. They promised more first party games so we will see.
For PS4 multiplats seem plentiful and Sony may be getting the best version because of install base alone. Uncharted 4 looks nice but it is still faraway.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.
This E3 is actually deciding if I get an Xbone or not. I almost have the cash for it, but right now I only want Sunset Overdrive, Killer Instinct, and a couple indie games. While not being able to play KI is driving me insane to the point of caving in, I really want to see what Microsoft has planned for the Xbone. If it's just stupid Halo and Gears of War rehashes, I probably won't get it since that is after all the target market for Xbone and would be a sign of what is most likely to come throughout the system's life cycle and I don't have a interest in fps's. Hoping they announce a lot of other things that grab my interest in addition to the usual dudebro stuff.
@Retro_on_theGo At this rate, if you want just a couple Microsoft games, it's looking like you might want to save up for a decent Windows 10 computer if you wait another year...or buy a Windows 8.1 computer in the near future...but then again, unless you want the few specific PS4 exclusives, the Xbone might not be a bad choice in and of itself.
Already have my N3DS and Wii U and too many games to play already. I seriously hope the next generation of consoles is going to suck, because I need to catch up on the current generation and since I missed on the previous generation(s) (specifically Wii and DS, but practically also N64 and GC) there are a lot of games to play. My boyfriend has a PS3, which also has a lot of games that interest me. Oh lord.
Never want to come down, never want to put my feet back down on the ground.
