Ninty probably doesn't need to do much, but since its a ninty site, ill just throw them in there. However i guess we can stretch our imaginations here and just think WHAT IF the ps3 slim and the new price caused the ps3 sales to skyrocket? How would ninty respond then if they started losing momentum to it (i highly doubt it i know but just think)

And for MS, they really are the ones i guess who would be more likely to respond, seeing as the ps3 is pulling close to it and planning to leave it behind soon. Seeing as the 360 apparently has many glitches and rings of death, do u think its time that they will raise theyre bar too?

I don't think the Slim has much of a bearing on what Nintendo will do. They could roll out some new colors at some point, but I don't think they care much about Sony's redesign.

Microsoft is eliminating the Elite and lowering its price down to the Pro level, I believe, which matches the new PS3 Slim price. Other than that, I don't think they'll do much.

Does the elite 360 suffer from the same errors as the other 360's (it did come out after the others did). And if MS does that, shouldnt they just take the pro off the shelves since there would be no reason to buy it?

they did do that. all you can buy now is an arcade or elite

MS was proactive, they've already made changes to their hardware line up. Nintendo however, seems to have prided itself on there being only one version of the Wii and will stick to that plan. However, I would like to see them offer up the black Wii for a lower price point, I think it's due. They're still profiting, so dropping the price by $50 should keep them very competitive. But they prob won't do it.

Nintendo is kind of behind in what the Wii can do. If something does happen then nintendo might make the "Wii 2".

Anyone thought about that the Wii is now the most overpriced system on the market? Its a fifty dollar difference that then PS3 now wich is not only a great gaming hardware but also a full entertainment system in a shell literally. The Wii is last gen hardware being sold right at the price of a HD/ BluRay System. Nintendo has to drop the price or they will suffer greatly. And the PSP will have over 50 PSP Minis games via DLC by . DSiWare has got to ramp up big time to. Nintendo has got a LOT of work to do now. Thats a good thing because they have gotten way to comfortable and thats bad for buisness. Competition is what keeps the good games coming. So this is a great thing for Nintendo.

MS has been shifting over to the newer Jasper chips, which should be less prone to RRoDs. They've been doing this since the Elite came out a while ago.

Nintendo isn't going to do a thing until their sales become dangerously low for months at a time. As long as people are still buying Wiis at the $250 price point, they have no reason to lower their price.

Since Sony annouced that the PS3 Slim has 120 GB, will keep all major features, and cost just $299, the Wii is very overpriced. Cut $50 off the Wii and it should sell like hotcakes. Otherwise, the Sony PS3 might end up being victorious this generation.

I don't think Nintendo cares whether or not we think it's overpriced as long as people keep buying it. Once people stop buying it, the price will drop.

If Sony starts to get ahead of Nintendo, they'll have to drop the price!

I know how to avoid that, lets tell them to drop the price, that way, it'll benefit them and the consumers.

Nintendo doesnt do anything until the sales drop. Just look at Japan. Plus I think Nintendo doesnt care for the PS3 Slim
