Topic: Heroes of the Storm

Yep, game is free. Do people still need invites, or are they letting everyone in now?

Anyways, just hit lvl 30, and I'm just about to purchase my 10th hero to get into Hero League (and didn't spend a single cent of real money on the game so far). It's taken me since my first post to get this far, and that's without missing a single daily quest and leveling a TON of heroes to lvl 5 (extra gold every time you do that) so... over a month to get to 30 and own 10 heroes without spending real money on anything. Not too shabby, I guess, but it does take a commitment. If you buy a "stim pack" it would basically halve that time, though. I think they go for about $10 U.S.

Sylvanas is going to be awesome, and a new map is always welcome. I'm still liking the game a lot. I just discovered that Gazlowe is wicked fun to play, and I keep getting that "oh wow, I LOVE playing as this guy!" feeling when I try new heroes, which wasn't something I would get a lot of in Dota, really. It's hard to explain, but Heroes feels more... "fluid" in movement and response than Dota 2. When I go back and try to play Dota, I feel like everything is moving in slow motion. Some people say it's because it's more "tactical," but after investing all this time in Heroes, I don't agree at all. Heroes is also very tactical, just in different, action-y ways. Nonstop. lol

Blizzard has stated in numerous places including Blizzcon that Heroes of the Storm will be Free to play and that you can use in game gold to unlock characters and skins as well as real money, basically the same way they do Hearthstone.

So I am not sure when they added Sylvanas but I am loving here. I have only played her in the try mode but I am seriously tempted to put down the cash for her.

They added her just yesterday, apparently...she looks familiar, though. Was she in the card game?

I believe she is I don't remember what her card does at the moment. If not there I am sure you have seen in in other places. She is after all one of the faction leaders in World of Warcraft and very popular.

Well this game is now in open beta which means anyone can play now. Also it looks like a launch date is set for next month.

Also an in game event is going on right now where Treasure goblins appear randomly on battlegrounds if you manage to kill one before he hops into a portal you can get yourselves a nice 100 gold bonus once per day.
