I've never used pick lists. They don't take into account what kind of deck you're building or what you've already bought. I feel like I usually draft well but am just in a slump. Maybe I'll take a look at it for my first few picks next time though. Thanks for sharing.
Oh yeah, they're just a general guide. In the end it comes down to your own judgement, and how much fun you want to have (I cant resist taking 3+ of a particular card just to see how it turns out; it's usually either really terrible or really good - but fun either way!).
Haha, yea, I always go for fun first. I have turned down Rag three or more times in favor of a legend that is actually fun. Usually works out well. I hope to have a good excuse to draft the legend who cuts down on the turn timer one day. Turned it down for Ysera my one time I saw it.
Been awhile since this thread has been used and alot has happened with the game. Probably the biggest thing is the Curse of Naxxaramas adventure. Anyone try this yet? I made it through the Spider Quarter but have yet to buy the other wings.

The AI battles aren't bad, but they aren't something I play for the fun of the match, mostly just to unlock the cards. The gold cost is unfortunately way too high. Maybe someday I'll break down and buy at least the wing with the Druid card with real money, but I don't think it's worth it. The expansion is kind of neat, but they continue to disappoint with how they handle card acquisition. I'd gladly pay $20 or more if I knew I'd get a good amount of good cards, but packs almost never have anything good, and Naxx is just too few cards (though they are pretty good).
I haven't played much lately. I had a ton of gold for awhile to fuel my arena habit, but after a two or three awful runs and a string of quests that required playing decks I don't like, I've given up the game temporarily and have just been getting my digital card fix with Sol Forge. I'm sure I'll get back into the swing of things one weekend when I have time to kill.
I'm up to date with the Naxxramas releases. Some of the AI battles are really well designed and its fun having to figure out the best way to deal with the new abilities and mechanics. I saved up a lot of gold before the initial release which is how I've managed to buy them all with in game cash (Seeing as they announced the release months before it came out).
They have said that there will be two forms of expansions in the future though; Adventures and regular expansions (basically adding lots of new cards to the game at once).
I'm new to Hearthstone. Only other game like it I've played is Pokémon Trading Card Game. I just had my first game (against random player) I really felt I was dominating. At first I had to counter a lot of things the other player put against me but I saved some cards to get a quick victory. I had two guys on the field with 4 attack power, I put a totem between them to get +2 attack for both and after that I used bloodlust which gives +3 for all my minions. 32 damage on one turn. It was fun. Nothing special but I wanted to say something about the game since I really love it.
It's its, not it's.

Just got my first legendary card (other than the ones you get from playing single player) and it was golden! It's an Archmage Antonidas. Then I click the card next to it and it's also a legendary! Lorewalker Cho. What are the chances of that happening?

Nice dude, the only Legendary I have is Maexxna, which you get from singleplayer. And I only have one gold card too which is Coldlight Oracle. WHERE MY LUCK AT?

What's the best prize people have got from the Arena? I've only played once before and got to the third level but that was when I was relatively new to the game. Once the shop sorts itself out I'm going to have another attempt.

I've gotten to 12 wins about 4 times now. You get 300+ gold for doing so I believe, as well as the card pack, some dust, and maybe a golden rare or higher. Arena's rewards are all about getting as much gold back as possible really since you always get a pack of cards anyway.
A card pack costs 100 Gold, so think of Arena as an investment into that anyway. You always get the card pack if you lose, and if you get 3 wins you're guaranteed 50+ gold.
I just finished the Chicken Dinner quest! (100 wins in any mode)
It gave me 300 gold, and I also saved up so now I have enough for the 2nd Naxxramas Quarter!
...
Well, help me out. Do I open 7 packs or buy a Naxxramas Quarter..? Edit AGAIN
That's not all! During my play session now, I had TWO different people concede directly. What's up with that? ._.
Oh, and I went from 300 to 900 gold, thanks to all the quests.
Here is a link to the unique (one time reward) hidden quests in Hearthstone. If you're looking for a bit more gold you might be close to finishing some of these.
