I recently (finally) got my beta key and I'm officially saying goodbye to my life on the outside. I'm greatly enjoying it so far. Has anyone else been playing or looking forward to the game?

After the Final Fantasy XI card game, I've learned the hard way to stay away from online card games based on MMOs. They're doubly addicting...

ive honestly never been a fan of video card games. the worst though is when they make an rpg battle card based. or when they make a card game based on the video game, then make a video game based on the card game.

I was watched alot of the news about Hearthstone during Blizzcon but I have yet to receive my beta key. I might try it on the PC but I really want to try it on my phone more then anything.

I'm in the Beta, as well. I got my key a month ago or so. At first I was stoked and played it ALL the time, but after a week or so my interest waned. I LOVE WoW and I love the lore associated with Warcraft in general, but it just doesn't have the depth of Magic (which I will always compare card games to). Getting new packs and entering the Arena requires a lot of challenges and match grinding, which I just can't pour the time into.

It's not all doom and gloom, though. The game is still fun to fire up for a few matches every now and then. If they make any major changes I'm sure I'll be back to check them out.

Ok well I managed to play a little more today. I beat Garrosh (Warrior) Uther (Paladin) and Thrall (Shaman) and got there decks. Its fun in short bursts like maybe an hour but after too long I am finding that I need to stop playing and go on to something else. I think this will be perfect for a phone and tablet. Something to do when you are on the go.

I haven't gotten in the beta. What little I've seen looks okay, but Sol Forge is much more original and to my liking, despite balance issues. Definitely going to try it when it is publicly available, still.

Hearthstone is now live.

If you are interested in playing it you just have to go to the site. It is a f2p game. Right now its only available on the PC and Mac but soon it will be also available for Android and Apple devices.

Can't you turn the voices off?

I playing it a bit as well since my friend play it. There is promotion going on if you care about World of Warcraft since you can get an rare mount. All you have to do is win three games online. I unlocked it but I don't have time for World of Warcraft to get it.

Umm… Care to have some gravy?

Yeah I got mine tonight. It took me awhile since my deck sucked and it has been awhile since I played but I got it in the end.

I expected this to be boring, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. The voices and animations add so much charm. My favorite is generally the Shaman, but I am on a Priest kick right now. One game versus another Priest we used Mind Control five times in a row on the same minion (thanks to one of those spells that copies an opponent's spell),

Usually I just play Arena, but I am starting ranked now in hopes of getting a gold hero and some fancy card backs.

yes but I have to turn all the sound off to do it(now I thought about it there's not many other sounds anyway)
maybe I'll just download it again this time in english as there was an option to download in other languages......

The English voice acting is hilarious. But if you don't like it, there really isn't a ton of other sound, certainly nothing important, so you could just turn all sound off.

great I'll turn off the sound for now and download in english later, I like this type of game a lot(all types of card games, except those on smartphones that you only get to chose the main cards that will be automatically set and watch the battle without being able to do any choices in it)

@Adam
Do you prefer it to Solforge? I played Solforge a bunch when it was released but eventually got a bit bored of it. I think they've update it quite a lot since I stopped playing, so I might go back to it when I have time. I found it to be a lot of fun, if somewhat unbalanced.

I like Sol Forge more in theory, Hearthstone more in practice. Sol Forge is still very poorly balanced, in my opinion, but has a much more interesting concept.
