Topic: Have you ever bought a game you have never heard of and ended up liking it?

Title pretty much says it all. I picked up the Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection today and one of the games whihc i had never heard of ended up being really fun. Don't remeber it's name right now though. xD

Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper. Never heard of it, but is currently my favorite Wii U game.

Beat City on DS. It isn't a classic, but the art direction, funky beats and quirky rhythm games are fun.

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime.

Elemental Monster Online Card Game.

It's $1 on PSN and thought I would give it a shot. I ended up liking it alot and for the price it's a steal.

Probably too many to list. I remember picking up Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus without knowing anything about the game and I really enjoyed it. Jet Force Gemini and Blast Corps also.

Dragon Warrior Monsters 2. This was the peak of my Pokemon obsession so you can guess why I bought it.

Astro Boy: Omega Factor. No idea why, I saw the 2003 anime like...once. Glad I did as it's probably Treasure's best game ever (either that or Mischief Makers).

Ghostbusters Wii: I saw this and thought "why not?"

There have been three in the series so far but the one for the GBA never left Japan so if localised it would be Rocket Slime 2. I also hope they localise it - even though they should have updated the graphics by this point (they're still identical to the GBA graphics...they were acceptable on the DS but with the 3DS I'm just hoping the 3D effect is significant), it's still a very fun game concept, and multiplayer is awesome.

Solar Striker (GB) - I actually got it for one of my birthdays as a kid, & I really found it addicting.

Got a PSP off eBay a few days ago and Burnout Legends and three other games came with it. I freaking love that game now

Also, I go the Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection as well (its called Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection for me, but whatever), and I love a random game on there called Flicky. Its awesome.

Eternal Darkness is a cult classic now but I still remember the day I picked it up at a local used video game store. I had never heard of it but the game cover looked very intriguing so I decided to buy it. It turned out to be one of the best random purchased I've ever made.
