Well, I just went for my preordered Halo 3: ODST... and so far, so good
The Good: -Firefight mode is a lot of fun with friends, but can get very hard, very fast depending on the player's experience with Halo (I'm not very good at it lol) -The Multiplayer disc can be installed, and the Xbox 360 identifies it as normal Halo 3... and it essentially is, except for the Story mode... it also includes all the map packs, plus the new maps, which is very cool, because it all comes in a single pack, and a single install. -Graphics are enhanced... overall, the game looks smoother than before (more anti-aliasing perhaps?) -The free pre-order UNSC Cap I got is very cool lol
The Bad: -ODSTs jump lower, and regenerate slower... not exactly a bad thing, but it takes some time to get used to it. -Install of the Multiplayer disc took longer than expected (5 minutes), around the same time as the whole Halo 3 disc... -Halo Reach beta is not yet active, and is included on the disc, instead of being an included Xbox LIVE code...

I did play a little bit of the multiplayer disc, though. I was surprised that it was actually a playable multiplayer version of Halo 3...I was under the assumption the disc was all the Halo 3 maps on a disc so that a person wouldn't have to download them.

It sounds like you mean its the campaign mode of Halo 3 as well. I don't know I haven't put in the 2nd disc yet, but when I get home from work I will do so and find out myself. @DarkG: That hat is pretty badaced.
