For anyone thats actually played GOW2 I know there's a content filter, but I dont know fully what it does. I do know that it turns the gore into sparks, and removes the language somehow. My question is does it just bleep out the harsher words or does it change the actual word? And would you say it would be rated T with it on? Lastly, is the content harsher or better than Halo 3 with the filter on? P.S. Don't comment with "Why would you want to play with the filter on?" whare as it doesn't answer my questions.
I like the filter. Um, I don't know about the Halo three comparisons, but I think I can answer the other things.
It actually just doesn't say the bad words. If you have subtitles on, the words will be replaced by ".........". So it's not exactly BLEEPED out as much as it is cut out. And rated T......hmmm...from what I remember I would say yes.
EDIT: But I do remember one part where you're walking through an abandoned facility, and then when your partners cut the lights on, there's blood all over the place and dead guys laying about. I think that stays even with the filter on, but I'm not too sure.
I never use the feature so I don't know. You should get one though sniping in gears 2 sucks it registers less than 15 percent of the time. 1 registers about 35 percent of the time
