The GBA isn't lost. If you look at its library of games, they are numereous, I own a GBA SP, and I own Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, Super Mario Advance 4, Sonic Battle (most recent), Simpsons:Road Rage, and more. You can't go wrong with a GBA SP. Since Nintendo Life was prone to the Game Boy family, here it is.

LOL.
What are people's thoughts on Minish Cap vs. Link to the Past? I don't know which one is technically better. I actually have the second latest version of the GBA SP- the infamous 001 model. My current two favorites are Sonic Battle and Super Mario Bros. 3. Still trying to best the difficulty of Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow....
Minish Cap vs. Link to the Past... I think I already know what people will say...

I for one actually enjoyed Minish Cap better than A Link To The Past. In fact, I will probably be one of the only people to say that I honestly didn't enjoy ALTTP all that much. I guess it's because I started with Wind Waker and was spoiled with the Zelda series ever since.

That being said, since you've raised a discussion about the GBA, if you haven't yet played Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones or Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, you definitely should. Two of my all-time favorite games right there.

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

Now, I'm not saying you need to play Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, but you definitely need to play Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones.

Also, Metroid Fusion, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon, Final Fantasy V and VI, Pokemon FireRed and/or LeafGreen, Tales of Phantasia, and all four Super Mario Advance games.

The Minish Cap was delightful! One of the few Zelda games I enjoyed wholeheartedly.

Asides from that, all one needs is Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. Tack on Golden Sun, remakes of just about every significant SNES RPG and the original Warioware... Man I miss my old GBA SP

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, the greatest launch title ever perhaps? Now that is a true must-play title!

Getting a weird Sacred Stones vibe from this post; just me?

Sacred Stones has got to be my favourite GBA title ever.

My son loves Summon Night with a passion I don't share. I think he enjoys the insane amount of damage and hp. He also finds the story amusing because he always is laughing and attempting to tell me what went on. I will caution you, his sense of humor is obscure. I can't say I know much about the game, played it when it 1st came out and it never kept my attention. I felt the same way about Riveria, and my son loves that game as well, was almost in his top 5. Oh, and I can't find my copy of Circle of the Moon, kinda upsetting really.

I liked Pokemon Emerald, Super Mario Bros. Advanced 4, and Donkey Kong Country 3... I wasn't much of a fanatic during the GBA timeline... especially since I was born two years before the GBA was released in 2001... I used to think that Pokemon Emerald was the best looking game ever when compared to my NES Classics, (which I had no idea was NES standed for) my Suoer Mario Advance games, and my Game Boy Color games.

Ah, Fire Emblem. I am definitely getting those two, I have heard excellent things about Fire Emblem. One thing I do know- someone dies, they die. You can't revive them. You have two options-restart the chapter so that they can live again, or cope with their death. That is very realistic and I really like that feature.
Now, anyone still play Sonic Battle? That is currently my newest cartridge, and I like it.
Oh, I guess it's time to reveal my collection:

  • Simpsons: Road Rage
I quite like this game, it has the options to rack up money to unlock characters with their vehicles as well as maps, with the gamemode option to explore a map that you have unlocked with a character. Very fun, you can get loads of replay time out of this. My only complaint is that the passwords are SO COMPLICATED.
  • Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow 2D platform style. . This game is very challenging, especially the puzzles, and the stealth is very solid.
  • Sonic Battle
As I mentioned it, this game is good. There's battle mode, training mode, challenge mode, story, and the story will take you a long time to complete. This game is very fun, but it gets you stuck straight in the beginning even. It's challenging and overall fun.
  • Super Mario Advance 4
I couldn't be a GBA gamer if I didn't have this, could I? This game is my favorite so far, and it's actually a NES ported game, if that wasn't noted (though this is wildly popular within the GBA market, so it probably is noted) Improved graphics, lots of power-ups, this game never gets old.
Small collection, I know. That's why I need more games for this thing.
