A tip for all, If you have an extra 100 dollars, get a solid state drive. However, if you put it in a laptop, you will be limited to about 120 GB. However, if you have a desktop you can use both a SSD and a HDD. Reinstall windows on the SSD and put the less important info on the HDD. This is pretty easy to do, you just need to make sure you have the cables for it. The computer will be MUCH faster. The speed of the hard drive can be a big limiting factor in the speed of the system. And, as a general rule, never stick with the standard intel graphics card. They are underpowered and can't run source games.

Very wide range of brands, specs, and upgrades available for both desktops and laptops. You just pick what parts you want for your price range, and then they build it for you.

Honestly you would be better off with a desktop for gaming purposes. Laptops just can't compare to a desktop gaming wise. However the best gaming PC and laptop I have owned I got from iBUYPOWER.com.
Desktops are more powerful and laptops are more portable. Kinda like the Switch and PS5. Laptops are allot of fun at Starbucks like my Switch is.
