If I'm not mistaken, this was some sort of online gaming service that let you play lots of games.
I just remembered that there used to be commercials for it all the time (featuring Sonic and Tomb Raider amongst other games). It's been at least 5 years since I've seen a commercial for it, and my question is, does this still exist?

What exactly is the appeal of these services? They've amassed hugely negative reviews, have terrible customer service and don't have too many benefits. The only decent things I remember about GameTap (which, mind you, I never subscribed to) are exclusive SGC2C episodes and early releases
