Topic: Gamespy's Hardcore Gaming Aptitude Test

Try it out here. I got 60% right with a label of "New-School Gamer," but to be honest, I was at least partially guessing on most of them. I'm just good at making educated guesses on multiple choice questions, plus I got a perfect score on the math section (all in my head, no calculator used) which requires no actual knowledge of the games used in those word problems.

I got 11/12 on the History test (missed the Capcom code question, I guess - just guessed on that), thought it was over, saw it wasn't and that the next part was math problems, then decided I didn't want to bother anymore.

But hey.

I only got 4/12 on the history section then it sent me back to the beginning. Guess I failed. Oh well.

58%, average gamer, jack of all trades. What the heck is the point of the math section? It requires no game knowledge, and it's not in any way funny. Just a waste of time, and it's not like they didn't have enough other sections. The rest of the sections are way too obscure.

I got pissed that there was a math section and stopped taking it, so I don't even know what my score would have been. What does that have to do with your gaming knowledge?

Agreeing with you all on math having nothing to do with gaming knowledge. Any math textbook-maker could use those problems with different names and items.

I don't need some quiz telling me if I'm a true gamer or not. And I agree with everyone else about the math section being stupid.

This. It's just trivia. If you haven't played the game (Seriously, I don't WANT to play APB.) you won't know the answer.

"You are playing in a full Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 match on Xbox Live, a game that supports 18 total players. 8 players like to insult your mother and 6 of them prefer to question your sexual proclivities, with 3 of them enjoying both equally. Finally, 4 players stay completely silent. The remaining players are friendly and courteous. How many of them will compliment your solid play?"
