Topic: Games you'd like to see on PC

Apologies if this sort of thread has already been done.

I've just got myself a gaming PC and am blown away by all the choice. Yet I feel that there are some obvious titles that could (or should) be available on PC but aren't.

Thus the point of this thread: what existing games would you like to see released on PC? Ideally focusing on something realistic (no Nintendo IP, for example)!

I'd love to see Sega release more Dreamcast games - in particular Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue.

Also, as Microsoft now seem to be making all of their new exclusives part of Xbox Play Anywhere - why not go back and rerelease some Xbox exclusives for Windows? I'd especially like to see the Halo series and Rare Replay.

Finally, I'd love to see Final Fantasy XII. Square-Enix have a fair history of supporting PC with Final Fantasy titles so it's baffling that this hasn't arrived yet!

If me, i DON'T want any of them.
I would rather to see the games appear on Consoles rather on PC.
I DON'T Even Care with Power. Who the heck cares ? Wasting money, wasting electricity bills, Not Awesome at all.
But most important, i would like to see the games appear on Nintendo Switch. Very Versatile, Easy to use, Not consuming a lot of electricity, can be played anyplace anywhere. PC ? Forget it !

@Anti-Matter While I agree that, more than anything, I'd love to see the games on the Switch...

PC availability is a great option for any title. Power's only part of it - there's also mods, accessibility (i.e. not being stuck to any single machine - you can play your library on a desktop, laptop, etc.), backwards compatibility, etc. A title a buy on PC may be playable on whatever computer I own 5 years down the line...but who knows if my PS4 library will be accessible to me on the PS5?

@Buizel I mean, if your computer has a good CPU, most console games before last gen can be emulated.

I would never emulate something that is actively being sold (like Virtual Console games), but I think it's a great option for games that aren't currently being distributed in any form.

Welcome to PC gaming. It's about all I play anymore. Games just tend to be superior on PC compared to their console counterparts and with the wide integration of controller support now it's very accessible even if you are not comfortable with mouse and keyboard.

On topic, there's not a whole lot on the console side that I think I would really want on PC. Maybe some of Sony's inhouse exclusives but other than that I'm more than happy with the selection on PC.

Steam - RancidVomit86

I don't care with Superior Power.
Who the heck cares ??
I don't even care with OMG Ultra HD Realistic graphics. They are Nothing for me.
Consoles are still very versatile, especially Nintendo Switch.
If the games also appear on Switch version, i will NEVER care about PC version.
I don't want to get stuck on PC Monitor forever nor even from laptop.

Eh, i think PC is More Wasting money than Having PS4 / Xbox 1.
Just count how much you spend for Super PC ? Even Idler than buy a PS4 Slim for the cheapest one.
I'm Done with all PC gaming.
I Quit.
Just only wasting money for VGA Card, Motherboard, Power Supply, etc.
Beside, PC is consuming a Lot of Watt, not good for me.

Now is a really good time for PC in terms of Japanese games. World of FF hit Steam, FFXV coming soon, Nier, Nioh, Legend of Heroes etc. Pretty soon, PC might even get these games day one.

As for more games, I'd love to see more SquareSoft classics like Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears etc. Stuff like Skies of Arcadia would be really sweet as well since Sega has a few classics on Steam already.

My thought is like this.
When i like the games, i want it in Physical Retail.
I don't care with the price, as long still not too expensive.
Steam games might be crazy cheap, but I Don't want Digital Download Only games. I don't own the games 100 %.
I have a lot of consoles, might be can't be played all the time, but i still want their existence. They are Easy-to-Play machines rather than PC. I also have PC, but not for playing anymore. I use my PC Just only for working my Drawing project, listening mp3, playing mp4, typing documents, Nothing else.

Later, i will consider Laptop than PC, since i need Portability rather than Stuck on one place. Beside, Laptop consume lesser electricity than PC, but i still don't want to use my Laptop for gaming, except for Stepmania (DDR Simulator + Maker) that doesn't require very Strong Computer specs to play DDR at Laptop.

Sorry, like i said from beginning, i don't follow the same mainstream as gamer. I'm against those gaming mainstream that think PC gaming is the best of all. For me, Hardcore PC gaming = wasting a lot of money. Big No No for me.

I think people spent too much time looking at PC gaming as if it was all about the highest end graphics and the best specs. It doesn't have to be. So in terms of cost and power it really depends, especially if you need a PC for other reasons anyway.

About three years ago I got my "gaming" PC, I needed a PC anyways so the "gaming" part of it was just an extra ~$250AU. Which turned my new PC into machine that, in terms of gaming, is about on par with the PS4 Pro. You could argue that I spent way more than a console on the entire PC but again I needed a PC anyways. You might argue that I could've got a cheaper PC in general but really other than the graphics card there's nothing "high spec" about it

I could've got a PS4 instead at the time but I would've spent $550AU. I could've waited and got a PS4 Pro now but I wouldn't have had a "current gen gaming machine" for all that time and I would've had to spend $530AU today for a PS4 Pro. So for me, as someone who needed a new PC anyways, I saved money going for PC rather than console gaming. That's before I consider the ~$250 I would've spent so far for Playstation Plus.

I don't even want PS4 Pro. Also wasting money.
I just only need PS4 Slim, Cheaper, since i don't play OMG ULTRA Realistic HD games, i play a lot of HD Cartoonish games, so PS4 Slim that i need. I don't need PS Plus since my loyal still on Nintendo machine.

Btw, you might have No Idea what games that i play on PS4 that also on Switch. I DON'T Play Rated 18+ games. I Only play Cartoonish games that doesn't have very Beefy specs. What games that i want to play in Consoles = Cartoonish games that doesn't even need PC Power to play. I'm NOT Typical Male gamer that you might think do the same things.

Sorry, mate. I DON'T Even like that game. I Don't Even Care with that game. I play Mostly Cartoonish games.

I Don't Care also. I'm very selective in gaming. The games that i play on consoles or handheld = same games from PC. If there are some PC Exclusives, I Don't Care also. I can live without those games.

Btw, let me show you what games that i want to play on consoles. I will start with PS4 :
1. Earthlock: Festival of Magic. Also on PC in Physical DVD, But i Don't Care. Will play on Nintendo Switch version.
2. Overcooked : Gourmet Edition. Also available on PC DVD, But I Don't Care. Will play on Nintendo Switch version.
3. Portal Knights. Available also from Steam, No Physical form, No Buy. Will Definetely play the Nintendo Switch version.
4. World of Final Fantasy. Also available on Steam, But I Don't Care.
5. FF X/X-2 HD Remaster. Also available on Steam, But I Don't Care.
6. FF XII The Zodiac Age. Also available on Steam, But I Don't Care.
7. The Sims 4. Also available on PC DVD, But i can live without PC version if there is a Console version.
8. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 HD Remix. Even if available on PC / Steam, I Don't Care.
9. Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles. Also available on Steam, But I Don't Care.

As you can see my 9 PS4 games so far, DON'T Even need PC to play. That's the reasons why i DON'T Need PC gaming. I Don't Need Superior Specs as PC. Even the power as Strong as Switch, that's More than enough for me.

I get that you want to "win" but in doing so you've ignored entirely what I actually said. I was, as in me not you, getting a new PC anyway for reasons other than gaming. While I was building this PC I left space in the budget for a graphics card. Money that was less than the cost of a PS4/XBOne at the time. That got me a graphics card that pushed the PC I was already buying upto a spec well above the PS4/XBOne. And in addition to that I don't have to pay an extra subscription to play these games online.

To put it simply, what you're saying is this:
~$250AU to push the PC I was already getting upto PS4 Pro specs in ~2014 - "Waste of money"
~$550AU + $80AU/year in subscriptions to have gone with a PS4 instead - "Far more Sensible"

This is a thread about PC gaming, not your taste in games. You're the one who chose to come in here and go on a rant about how bad an option it is. All I did was dismiss one of those points with a well reasoned argument. In my case pushing the PC I was already getting into a decent gaming machine was the more cost effective option.

But to your point, you may not want to play any games that demand more specs than a PS4 can deliver. It's an arbitrary spec to be happy with but more power to you I guess. Not everyone is the same and I don't think you just dismissing the idea of games that might push the hardware a bit further as stupid. Especially when, in my case, I spent less on the bit of hardware that makes my PC higher spec than your PS4 than you did on your PS4.

I'd rather play games on Switch than PC, but I don't own any other current-gen consoles so I'd really like to get a chance to play Kingdom Hearts, either on PC or Switch.

I Don't Even consider PC is for gaming. My PC is just for Working purpose Only, Nothing Else, No PC games At All because i can play the console version for easy to play, No Install, No Worry about Save Data Loss, No Worry about Computer Trouble.

Let me count for PS4 Slim. The cheapest so far in Indonesia was IDR 4,100,000 or US$ 303.60. Just ONLY PS4 Slim, No PS PLUS, No Pro Version, etc. If you say i skip a lot of things, let me tell you, I Don't Even Play OMG ULTRA HD Realistic games At All. For what the 4K and 130+ GB games ?? That means NOTHING for me.

See my post above about 9 PS4 games that i want to play. My 9 PS4 games don't even Need PC Power. Just play it on PS4, insert the Disk, Wait for seconds, Play.

If i SPLIT between Laptop for working and PS4 for gaming, That's my Choice. I Never consider PC is for gaming because I Never Like It.

For me.....
1. If it's on PC/XBOne/PS4 I'd prefer it on Switch as long as it can run "well enough" on Switch
2. If it's on Switch and runs "well enough" I'm happy with it just being on Switch
3. There is nothing on PS4/XBOne I wouldn't want to see on PC

That's my point about my gaming choice.
If there is a Switch version, i will Definetely play it with Gleefully 100%.
But, if still only PS4/ xbox1 version (Example: The Sims 4 console version), i will choose ps4 version.
