@Blue_Blur: I too go back to play Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion all the time! Luigi's Mansion because it's a charming game that I can beat in a day, and Sunshine because, well, playing with water is just too dang fun (among way too many other reasons)! Both of them have really interesting game mechanics!
The one I've probably returned to the most though is Pikmin 2. It is my favorite game of all games in existence, but not only that, the playthrough is different every time thanks to randomized underground tunnels!
I also really enjoy Paper Mario: TTYD, but because it's an RPG I can only go back every so often, and then I've played Donkey Kong Country 2 a ton but I think I burned out of it at this point. All five of the DKC games are really good, but I can't get myself to go back and play them whenever.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels

I only return back to the quick and easy pick-up-and-play games such as WarioWare Inc. Mega Micro Games on the Game Boy Advance, Beat the Beat: Rhythm Heaven on the original DS as well as Pilotwings on the 3DS.
I never, ever return to story or campaign based games as I simply do not have enough time as it is so, replaying whole games (again) doesn't gel well with me and my limited time.
I used to play a lot of Ridge Racer Type 4, SSX Tricky and Tekken 3 back in the day though! Being a kid back then was great; as a twenty-five year old adult, time is no longer as free as it once was, unfortunately.
Main ones that come to mind are Mario 3, Kirby's Adventure, Sonic 2, Star Fox 64, Balloon Fight, a lot of Metroid games and Yoshi's Island.
For like 3-4 years it was mostly Smash Bros. Melee and the first 2 Halos though.
If there's any new game that come remotely close to those (ignoring my neverending slow crawl through Hyrule Warriors) it would probably be VVVVVV. Trying to accomplish some of the crazy hard stuff in that game is something I once in a while still try to do.
For Wii U, MK8 and Smash
I like to hook up the ole super and play through atleast one of the DKC games each year (Diddy Kongs Quest is the best ever). If I also have the snes hooked up a lil mario all stars or zombies ate my neighbors is also bound to get played.
This year has all been about Bayonetta 2 during the lean spells. Almost got Rosa, then going after the Rodin fight. After that I've probably done all I want to- so back to finish up the secrets in Bayonetta 1.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
Every October since it released, I get the strong urge to play it, play through it three or four times, and don't touch it again until the next October. It has a captivating vibe, that I guess remindes me of the changing from summer to fall.
Yes, I am currently playing it, if you're wondering.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
To continue with the AC theme, Animal Crossing Wild World is also one of the games I can get back into at any time. I actually carry it around with my 3DS most of the time.
I like it a bit more than New Leaf too, but that may be just because it was my first AC.
Always Pokemon. I'm always thinking about it, have an urge to play and recently I lost both my Pokemon X and Pokemon AS versions (wasn't really recent, it was probably somewhere around the beginning of the year?) and have been raging about it since. It was only at some point this weekend that I realized I probably wouldn't ever find either game again and relented to just repurchasing Pokemon X (downloaded from E-shop).
Also, Smash Bros. Always the latest verison. Basically, I can't stop playing - ever. Easily a game I'd consider myself addicted to and Wii U's version is definately packed full of enough content to keep me hooked. I always come back, no matter the day or time.
Phantasy Star Online Episode One & Two. This game... THIS GAME.... UNFFFFF.... It's like, everything I could ever want in a game really. Myself and my best buds still pull out the old Xbox and just cruise around hacking monsters like we used to as kids. Most recently, I played it about a few weeks ago? Still just as good as it always was. Though I'll admit, going back to the Xbox does hurt my eyes nowadays xD Too much blockyness.
Never take anything I say seriously. S'all you buddy. ;)
Mainly play on my Switch but I have 3DS, Wii U and PS4 as well.
Fave game series include: Pokemon, Smash Bros, Splatoon, Disgaea, Bayonetta, Dragons Dogma, Phantasy Star & Arena of Valor.
I have quite a few I can always play, but a lot of it depends on the system. With the Wii U my go to games seem to be Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Smash Brothers and Batman: Arkham Origins
For other Systems over time it has varied and some of the following I still play via Virtual Console or remakes:
NES - Contra, Dragon Warrior, Legend of Zelda
SNES - Super Star Wars Trilogy, Final Fantasy IV & VI, Sim City
GC - Smash Bros., Animal Crossing, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Spiderman 2
Wii - Xenoblade Chronicles, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime Trilogy
PC - Quest for Glory Series, Diablo II, Neverwinter Nights, Jedi Knight II, X-Wing
DS - Animal Crossing: Wild World, Final Fantasy III, Retro Game Challenge
PS - Final Fantasy Tactics, Metal Gear Solid, Colony Wars, Final Fantasy IX
PS2 - Tribes, Grand Theft Auto III, SSX Tricky, Metal Gear Solid 2
360 - Sanctum 2, Mass Effect Series, Dragon Age: Origins, Batman Arkham City, Halo: Reach, Fallout 3
