I find it hard to get into Morrowind personally. I don't necessarily dislike it, but it just takes a larger portion of time to get going than I would like. It's a bit overwhelming to just be dumped into an open world with very little guidance as to your objective but that's just me.

I never liked Assassin's Creed. It just did nothing for me yet most people love it.

Which one(s)?

Only played 1 and 2 and didn't care for either.

I think some people missed the point of the thread. I can confirm that every AC game is hated by a lot of people. Of course some of them actually liked the first game and thus should be ignored for all time.

So I guess my input doesn't matter just because some other people didn't like them as well even though judging by sales and reviews that number who like it is far more than the number who dislike it? Since you created this thread and established the 'rules' behind this question...oh wait....you didn't...but anyway so should I just delete my comments?

There's plenty of times the sequels to games don't live up to the first game. I honestly didn't like Uncharted, Dead Space, Bioshock, Killzone, Gears of War, etc. series with sequels last gen, because they didn't add much gameplay or storywise after the first entry.
There was basically no reason to play more than AC after the first one IMO, and I didn't even like it that much anyway.

Ah, that wasn't meant as an insult to you. Just pointing out that putting "everybody" in the title wasn't going to work, since you can find plenty of haters for most games without trying much, and even a lot of the games mentioned are stuff that have a notable amount of "haters".

Though that itself is probably me just nitpicking and being stupid. The reason I just mentioned Vanquish is because I've never seen anyone dislike that game anywhere, and I can't think of another game I'm not a fan of that's like that.

No, I made the thread and Assassin's Creed works fine. I meant how most people feel when I said everybody and people generally like AC and Halo ect. A lot of
People still hate them but the majority enjoys them.

Elder Scrolls Oblivion. I much prefer Morrowind and even enjoyed Skyrim for the most part, but Oblivion just never got me like it did for some people.

I've been trying to play this game recently, and I just can't for the life of me understand why anyone could think this is a good game. I mean, I like the concept, and seeing Disney characters run around with you is cute, but the gameplay is just awful. The battling is too chaotic (especially when you're looking to use items like potions), the camera swings around so wildly you can hardly ever see what it is you're even trying to battle, the platforming is awful, the rail shooter aspect in the gummi ship is terrible as well, and, worst of all, the game oftentimes gives you almost no hints of what it wants you to do in a given environment. It has very nice (for the time it was released) graphics, a lovely soundtrack, and an intriguing premise, but the game is borderline unplayable at times.

The Monster Hunter 3 demo was really... ugh as well. That's a well-received series, right? I hope the demo isn't indicative of the quality of the finished product. Same problem with the Epic Mickey - Power of Illusion demo.

Also, I've played Bethesda games for years and have never encountered any bugs in them. It's quite weird, like I'm the only person who wasn't invited to a party, even if that party turned out to have sucked.

Usually if they are highly rated those are the ones everyone like. Not always but in most cases.

I keep trying to get into Assassin's Creed, but the worlds feel so empty to me. Outside of "hey lookit that jumpy guy!" every NPC is a faceless, nameless, no-dialog shell. It makes sense if we are re-living the flashbacks of an ancestor who never spoke to those people, but not once do I feel like I am actually in that ancient world. The same goes for the glittery white effects every few seconds, and the "sync lost!" going red- again, I know I am playing a memory, but I never, ever, ever, feel like I am an Assassin in the middle ages. I feel like I am playing a man watching a video about the middle ages, with the boom mic visible, and extras wearing wrist watches and answering cellhphone calls midway through.
I'd prefer if you enter the memory, then PLAY IT open world- if you die, that's when the game says "wait, it didn't happen like that!"

i don't want white and silver Matrix-crap flying over everything half the time.

The Gummi Ship part is terrible, but you're wrong on all other counts. The battles are actually quite controlled. I haven't the slightest clue how you can say otherwise. You rarely fight more than a few enemies at once, and it's easy to tell where they are and what they're gonna do. You also very rarely need to use potions. Donald Heals you pretty frequently, and you get your own heal spell fairly quickly. The camera takes some getting used to, but you eventually learn to control it like a boss once you've gotten the hang of it. The only time I can recall there being areas where I didn't know what to do was in Wonderland, and honestly, that was the point of Wonderland. It's a place where anything can happen. It just requires some experimentation. It also helps if you've seen the movie and know how it goes. Overall, the sense of discovery outways the time spent figuring it out. As for the platforming, again, once you get used to the camera, platforming becomes pretty easy.
