Super Mario 64. Even if I loved the game, it thought me to NEVER buy a console for a single game again.
sorry you feel that way. the n64 had a lot of great games as long as you didn't want rpg's. i think it had 4 total and 2 of them are awful.
I found it hard to believe that there were really so few, but I looked it up, and yeah, there were 6... but two of them I've never heard of, at least one is infamously bad, and it's hard to include Harvest Moon as an RPG, even if it really is. I'd call it a sim game.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
No Man's Sky is making me seriously consider getting a PS4. That game looks incredible, and just my kind of game. Of course there's The Pinball Arcade and Battlefront 3 as well, but No Man's Sky man, I really want to play it! And now I'm torn on if I should get a PS4 or a Wii U. (Right now my bro owns the Wii U, but when he leaves so does the U, so I'm gonna have to buy one eventually. [I've said that a lot, haven't I?])
Whew, tough decision eh? If you get a U now you can start building your collection of games before the brother leaves. But if you get a PS4 you can still have both for a little while. If there is enough PS4 games you'd like I'd go for that. But since you already know you're gonna get a U, it may be better to get that purchase out of the way. In trying to help i've probably confused you more
Well, this isn't anything I'm thinking about atm. I've still got a while before he leaves, and I don't have much spending money right now, either. But hey, maybe No Man's Sky will be released on Wii U!?!? (I wish that had even the smallest chance of happening)

I forgot I should order the Japanese version of Quest 64, it's supposedly a better game (oddly enough despite being Japanese-developed it was released there a year later).
They are a great sales tool aren't they? It was a store demo of Banjo Kazooie that convinced me to buy an N64
If they don't haunt you for years later.
I swear back in the day I walked in to Target to find some kids playing Super Mario World and they were on levels not on any normal copy of the game. Like that island above Donut Plains 3, and someone found a secret path between Donut Secret House and Donut Plains 1. For some reason I remember in that copy of SMW from an alternate universe, the keyhole of Donut Secret 1 was sitting on a very long horizontal pipe. (whereas in the copy in THIS universe it's on normal ground)
I mean it was one of those older kiosks with the robo-arms controllers and a flat-panel monitor (I've been told those were Sony PVMs, a very expensive professional-quality display so it was very nice quality by 1992 standards, whereas later "Nintendo Power" kiosks were using some ordinary household-grade Sony TV), with the console visible so I could see the cart looked like a normal SMW cart.
