Topic: FrostBite 2 and 3 didnt have promising results on Wiiu said DICE .... wuut

Can they just say that they dont like Nintendo, they said on twitter i think that Star Wars game will use FrostBite 2 or 3 , then they said Wii U cant run any of those , WHILE ! Cry Engine 3, far better than those engines, runs smooothly on Wii U ... They just dont like Nintendo, Well I do hope if Wii U sells like hotcakes, nintendo wouldnt allow any DICE made games on their systems... what do you guys think ??

Well, usually game companies go after what makes the most money. It isn't that EA hates Nintendo or anything, it's just that it'll cost more money to release it on the Wii U. And DICE's Frostbite engine doesn't run games in the same way as how Crytek's CryEngine runs theirs. And if DICE won't optimize the game for the Wii U, it's not because they're lazy.

And it needs to be known that Nintendo has yet to sell enough Wii U consoles to merit consideration from the big publishers (at least for their major projects).

Judging how poorly EA's games have sold on Nintendo consoles in the past, I don't blame its internal studios for avoiding the Wii U. Whether DiCE are lying or not, it's a waste of time and resources in the long run.

Plus, Nintendo fans hate EA, so I don't see what the problem is. (Or was his conclusion insulting? lol)

Why would a company, that has it's own game engine use another one?

They care about making video games, not Nintendo. They will care about Nintendo's platform IF either Nintendo sells tons of consoles or Nintendo's intended demographic was the teen or young-adult crowd.

If EA can't make enough money on Nintendo platforms then they will not make the games for Wii U.

The best version of NFS Most Wanted released on Wii U at a time when the system has basically nothing worth a damn and it sold like crap. I'm not a fan of EA but Nintendo gamers take a hit here more than anybody. I hate to inform Nintendo fanboys but these companies are in the business of making money and for EA it just doesn't happen on Nintendo consoles. There isn't any conspiracy or petty high school diva feud like people here love to make up, it's strictly business.

Also for the fact porting to certain platforms can take months which = time & money, and thats before you have to deal with any of the problems the port has created. Also they've had games on the Wii U which has sold poorly, so you cannot blame them in reality no but people still do.

I'm sure they COULD get FB running on Wii U, but it's ready to go on the other platforms. To get it going on Wii U they'd have to go back and do significant reprogramming that they've decided would not be worth it, based on game sales do far. They don't hate Nintendo and I'm sure if sales pick up they'll have another go.

Frostbite 3 working on PS360 and not Wii U. Knowing that Wii U y more powered than PS3 I can only imagine two things.

1) Frostbite engine is mainly CPU power and Wii U uses a GPU to help graphics. And also they dont want to make a version of that engine.
2) That's a bad excuse because EA is constantly pushing developers of their games to make DLC and season pass, and this last thing is not in Nintendo's eShop.

Well, well lose some repetitive blockbusters...

On one hand, I feel Nintendo will surprise everyone as usual, but on the other, at some point you just won't hit all the cherries at the slots.

Frankly, they should be more concerned with the 3rd party big boys, then the nickel and dime mini-game developers. Sony is getting those AND the big boys. The Wii U is already strapped with the tag of being a PS3 in a PS4 generation, and the battle hasn't even started. I have a sinking feeling EA themselves will wow and impress more than Nintendo will. And if they pull out some next gen Dragon Age footage, look out.

EA and DICE are just trolling.

Maybe it froze the system.
