Dark Force (Phantasy Star series) This guy is just terrifying, especially in Phantasy Star 3. And he is completely relentless, since he always attacks every 1000 years, and he usually looks really badass!
Dr Eggman/Robotnik (Sonic series) This person is the total opposite of Sonic, and that helps to polarise the characters a bit. Usually, his voice actor is very good. But I do think he has softened over the years, i don't know why really, I just don't think he has as much steel as he used to, and the fact that he assists Sonic on occasions.
Cyrus (Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum) This guy and his calm attitude creep me out. In fact, when his plot on Spear Pillar began, I was genuinely scared for the first time in a Pokemon game, which is odd as I am older now.
Muro (Oni) Not everyone will have heard of this game, but there were many moments which creeped me out. For example, when Muro tortured Shinatama, when Muro appears in Konoko's dreams, and when he evolves into his ugly superpowered form in the final battle. There's something just not right about him.
Soulblighter (Myth series) OK, he is just so badass, and the fact that he is invincible in one of the levels makes him even more badass. You get loads of beserks to attack him, and he stand victorious without a scratch!
Diablo (Diablo series) Big, red and angry. And packs a huge punch if you're not careful. Enough said.
Evice (Pokemon Colosseum) Wow, he looks really pissed doesn't he? And there is when he turned from jolly Mayor ES Cade to jumpy angry Evice. Plus the change in music epitomizes this sudden twist, when he first reveals himself as Evice.
John Adams (The Conduit) This person just really loves using people to his own ends, doesn't he? He's such a sleaze! He even says to Michael "The Trust could use people like you."
Zant (Zelda: Twilight Princess) He gives me the creeps. There is that he portrayed as so calm and badass when we first meet him, there is that he managed to defeat the Light Spirit very quickly and almost soak the world in twilight, and almost killing Midna and locking Link in his wolf form. Then he changes into a complete psychopath when you battle him!
These are just some of my ideas. Btw, Myth and Oni were made by Bungie before Halo; I don't know if anyone has heard of them, or of the Marathon series.
Do any of you have favourite antagonists?
Currently playing: Red Steel 2 The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes Pokemon HeartGold
Great one. I'll toss in some praise for Dr. Breen in Half-Life 2, as he's my favorite "kind" of antogonist...reminding me very much of O'Brien in 1984. He's just as much at the mercy of the same universal misery as everybody else, but alleviates his own suffering somewhat by enhancing the suffering of others.
A bit more complicated a situation than we usually get with video game antagonists who mainly tend to kidnap princesses for...um...some reason?
Also, got to second PM's appreciation for RPG-style Bowser. He makes a fantastic comic brute, and I really wish we could see more of that in the core games.

There are very very very few times I fall instantly in love with a girl. All right, that's a straight-faced lie, but what the heck, it's appropriate, because it happened here too, with a girl named Alice-chan. Now now, you should know better than to...TALK. (slap) BACK. (slap) TO. (slap) ME! (slap)
The perfect blend of cuteness and nastiness...I like.
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Golbez (Final Fantasy IV) Fawful (Mario & Luigi) Count Bleck (Super Paper Mario) Glados (Portal) Bowser (But mostly just in the RPGs) Ganon (Zelda) King Dedede (Kirby)
Ganondorf from Zelda. He's got a dark skin but oddly enough, red hair. That and his black clothing make him look just so cool. And he can transform into the Pig-Man beast Ganon.
King Bowser from Super Mario. A giant red-haired, spike-shelled, fire-breathing villain. What else do you need.
You know what I always found odd? How seriously they treated Bowser in Luigi's Mansion. I mean, Mario games usually have a lighthearted story, and Bowser's always defeated, but never vanquished. But, the way they talked about Bowser in Luigi's Mansion, it made it sound like Bowser had died, and that he had been resurrected. They also make him out to be extremely tough. Even though I guess they always do that, the presentation of the matter just felt so different in Luigi's Mansion.

I decided! I'm gonna go with that cube/television guy from Cave Story! He was awesome! =D
He's "Balrog".
Thanks! I forgot his name (even though I have the game on my hard drive as I write this(LOL XD)).

Both the end bosses from the Zelda Oarcle games. I'm sure I'd make a different pick, but I rarely remember antagonists for some reason.
Oh yeah, GLaDoS was great! So weird how it seemed like it was your friend, yet it turned out to be trying to destroy you the entire time, very twisted. Me Like!
