I'm still soooooo torn about buying this via pre-order. Sure I'll have it sooner, sure I'll get the groovy pre-order bonuses, sure I'll be able to chat about it with all the NLife peeps, but geeze 60 bucks. I think I can probably wait a year and get the whole game plus most (all?) of the DLC for under 40 bucks used at GameStop.

Dilemma.
I never have pre-ordered a game before. Does it cost more than the actual game to do so? I'd rather keep the 10 Euro and spend it on some food and drinks for the game.

No it doesn't cost more for a preorder. Plus you usually get bonus stuff for free. Magi is just saying I don't need this now for 60 when Can wait a year and get it much cheaper. To many good games to play this CHRISTmas!

Exactly, and by waiting it'll probably be re-released as a GOTY edition which will have all the DLC instead of being nickled and dimed to death every time an expansion comes out.
The Fallout:New Vegas intro has been leaked. Voice acting is cool but I wish there was none in the intro. Like in Fallout 3,the music is happy,but then it goes into a dark theme and shows the world being in pieces,no voice acting. In New Vegas it has in the middle of the opening of the person who shot you and he says a few lines, but then it gets dark and gritty afterwards so I forgive it.
Awesome intro and the songs obviously fits into the theme. Well hyped now!

Four Fallout:New Vegas videos were uploaded to YouTube today. They are from PAX and show a couple of new things. We can see one part of the world map revealing new names for towns. Unfortunately the videos have been taken down by request of the New Vegas Publishers. I managed to see the video's but only on my PS3 plus the videos were shaky-cam esque so you didn't really miss out on anything important at all.
Yet again they are show-casing the 360 version off. I don't simply do not get why the PS3 version has not made an appearance yet. Sure the 360 version might end up being the better version slightly but come on. The PS3 version of Fallout 3 was a bug-filled mess. Not the actual game. But how it handled was abysmal at times. I'd like to see some videos of the PS3 version of New Vegas. Anyone got any pictures or videos,please post here. Thanks!
(Mind you that since you can use the 360 controller with PC's. It might be the PC version we're looking at.)

Hmmm. I don't really have much of a hankerin' for any of them. If I HAD to pick one, I'd pick Boone. But then there would be two snipers. Maybe some of their backstories/missions will help me like them a little better. Being Los Vegasy and all, I was hoping for maybe a stripper or a mafia-type-dude...maybe even a Sammy Davis Jr. kinda guy. That could have been a riot.
The perk that they provide to the player by being in the party seems to be an interesting concept.
I like the Robot Dog. Dogmeat was pretty much only good for distracting hard enemies. I'm hoping this Robot Dog is much more damage resistant which is a given but by how much is the real question.

The footage shows the Nightkin enemies which are basically Super Mutants that are blue and use stealth. I believe they also use Stealth-boys to ambush you. (Keep in mind that the guy's character is level 20 so it makes fighting with Super Mutants easy and he has pretty much has unlimited ammo and gun supplies)
It shows off normal Super Mutants of course and while they haven't much changed they do seem to run much faster and they look bulkier too. The video show's off sniping too with a Barret 50.cal look a-like. I am excited for some sniping from the distance and getting chased by the Super Mutants. It just brings a more tactical feel to the game and makes it scarier as it will alert other Mutants.
Another thing I liked about the video was the environment. Sure it has those same textures from Fallout 3 and it looks like Fallout 3 only brighter but there's something about this particular video that makes me love the environment presented. Only 1 month till the game releases. It's been dreadful waiting for it in all honestly as I feel bored with my current games.

He died so many times on me. I can't wait to get the Super Mutant Follower again. Hopefully she/he has tons of health.

This game really looks great. I just wish it was coming out sooner than it is, as I'm not going to have much time to play it in November at all...and may actually delay my purchase until December for that reason.
Definitely picking it up at some point though. I adored Fallout 3, and the Vegas setting really appeals to me.
Awesome companions. I'll be picking Raul (Danny Trejo as a companion? Hell yeah!) and Rex, though the rest are also interesting, especially Boone and Lily...
