for sure, countless hours has been put into the previous fallouts. it's a good time to be a wrpg fan, ME2, Dragon Age and now another Fallout. =)

The geek juices are flowing here, dirty boy. I adore Fallout and pretty much everything by Bethesda/Bioware/Obsidian.
Currently playing Dragon Age. I'd be playing ME2 but some postal dude somewhere has stolen my review copy...angry:(

Uhh no. Bioware has not picked up a Bethesda IP ever. Bioware made the first KOTOR then sold the game engine and license to Obsidian for KOTOR 2.
Black Isle Studios, who had some involvement with Bioware on the Baldur's Gate series were the developers for the first two Fallout games and Interplay was the publisher. Bethesda later acquired the rights to the Fallout IP to make Fallout 3 and its expansions.
Bethesda's original IP is the Elder Scrolls series. Other than that they have mainly made games with licensed IPs.
So as far as I am aware, as a fan of both Bethesda and Bioware, the companies have never worked on the same IP. The closest the come is Black Isle Studios, of which Bioware worked with on Baldur's Gate and then sold game engine rights to (Which then became the Icewind Dale Series) while Bethesda acquired the rights to Fallout, a game Bioware never had any involvement with.
