If completed an easy version beatmap that I would appreciate feedback on - it's listed on my Osu! profile (under beatmaps - pending).

I've just learned something about the whole system of submitting beatmaps I think might be important to anyone interested. After submitting a beatmap of your own, it is added to a list of pending beatmaps, that are reviewed by the moderators. They will decide whether your beatmap is worthy of being added to the list of ranked beatmaps or not. Currently, my beatmap is around the 1657th mark, meaning the moderators will be reviewing 1656 more before they get to mine. But it's not quite as simple as that, because of a thing called "kudosu" (Kudos). People are able to, with the help of kudosu, people are able to push their submissions further up the list, effectively displacing earlier submissions, like someone jumping a queue.

To earn kudosu, you can browse the pending beatmaps forums, download a pending beatmap, play it through and offer advice on how it can be improved. This will earn you a single kudosu point, which you can spend to boost the standing order of a currently pending beatmap.

Well, edhe, I played your beatmap, and it was pretty good! No complaints (except needs a higher difficulty, but first things first).
Thanks for that tip about submitting, I've already started working on my own beatmap: Waluigi Pinball (Brawl).

That's odd... I can't play your beatmap, FATEM. Osu exrtacted it and all, and the folder is there, but I don't see it in the song list. Weird!

@ 22. Starkiller. Thank you. It was an easy song to start with as well.

I am able to play it, and it's quite funky - and very challenging for my fledgling skills.

To starkiller, have a look in your songs folder (program files/osu/songs - there well may be a sub folder called "failed" - if your download failed (like mine does quite often), you'll have gotten an incomplete beatmap. The only thing you can do is try to download it again.

I'm in the process of making a second beatmap, with an original soundtrack, and hopefully a nice storyboard to go with it. I'm a bit disheartened that my original map is still 1660 places away from a mod who can look at it (and rising, can you believe it), which is why this Kudosu I mentioned earlier is so important. This is why we may need to work together to help each other's beatmaps (if you create them) up their respective lists by offering feedback on the osu forums.

For example, if someone were to offer advice on how to improve one of my beatmaps, I'd acknowledge their advice by awarding the a kudosu point, which they can assign to a beatmap to knock it up the list. I mentioned this before, but I've learned that kudosu is given out at the beatmap author's disgression - so even if you offer feedback, they might not bother to acknowledge your advice with a kudosu point. Secondly, I'm not quite sure how much a single kudosu point can boost your beatmap's standing. I doubt it'd be that useful if it only boosts it by one place if it shall only drop by another 20 places a few hours later.

Clearly I need to research more on this.

I'll eventually try it if the website download doesn't give me viruses. Never really tried Elite Beat Agents, so I might not be as hooked to the game as I was to Synaesthete (I think that's the name).

The only thing that gives pirates a chance against ninjas is the ability to grow awesome beards. Other than that, they're completely outmatched.
Thanks for the awesome avatar, Xkhaoz!

Joking aside, your enjoyment of this version depends on how dexterous you are with a mouse cursor (unless you own a fancy graphics tablet or even better a touch screen computer)

Hmm, after restarting osu it appeared. Weird. And no, it wasn't in the failed folder.
FATEM, good song... I can't really think of anything to improve, but then again, I'm new at this.

I've got to say making beat-maps in this is a lot easier than in other games such as Stepmania.
