Well, EA just learned about the existence of karma. The hard way.

By a frivolous lawsuit that will be dismissed?

People are kidding themselves if they think this will impact EA in anyway whatsoever.

Warning: It contains a lot of cussing

LOL, imagine if this guy had to actually deal with real problems.

It's hard to say who's in the right. A company will naturally talk great about its products. However I don't know the extent of the bugs in the game. I'm not sure what to say

From what I hear, some people can't even get into games, and for some the game is always crashing (on all systems) apparently.

Please tell me where lying to your investors is a "frivolous" act.

I understand. It's just kinda weird that EA would essentially release a game equal to that of a 6th gen console, on an 8th gen console. Gameplay and and mechanic wise, the Wii U version was basically the PS2 version.

Alexsays is probably right. This won't affect EA, even if the lawsuit goes through. They'll lose the case and continue on, or the case will be dismissed. The only thing that matters to me is whether they decide to quit making subpar products or not. I'll buy a good EA game, but not a junk one.

@AJFellow I said the lawsuit was frivolous, try reading. I'm not debating their actions on a forum where EA is unanimously hated. Anyone that follows these things knows this is for public display and will have no real impact whatsoever.

This is concerning the launch. Almost all issues have been fixed by now and the game is perfectly playable across all systems.

Oh God, Angry Joe...I've only seen a few of his videos...and they're probably the worst I've seen on TGWTG. He'll make some good points, follow them up with childish ones, and generally overact. I think he's trying to come off as an Angry Video Game Nerd, but he's terrible for the part. He's not a good actor, his writing is terrible, and his schtick is annoying and poorly excecuted. And those videos I watched were recent, too, he's been there a long time as far as I can tell, so he really doesn't have an excuse for being so amatuerish.

But yeah, I think in this case, "product not being as good as we expected" is not enough to warrant a lawsuit. Broken game or not, the only action that should be taken is for the investors themselves to take their money somewhere else unless EA gets their act together. That's why they're investors in the first place.

Here's a good article on the entire situation, since I doubt most people read beyond this thread. Link

If they can find a plaintiff, and if they can prove the sales estimates were intentionally misleading, and if they can prove those that sold their shares were aware of the game's state, they might be able to have EA pay a small amount of money.

Is there any concrete way of showing these people knew about the game's launch when they sold their shares months in advance? Is there anyway of proving sales were intentionally overestimated, rather than just estimated wrongly like nearly every other game? No, this is a joke. ie. why nobody is stepping up and heading the lawsuit.

That makes sense. Maybe this will turn into a case like "crazy coffe lady vs. McDonald's". EA will have to put a warning on all their games that states: "Caution: May not work or be worth $60"

Juuuuust kidding. We'll have to see how this goes, because everbody knows EA has some serious BS going on behind closed doors when stuff like this happens. That's what I think, at least.

Either way, EA's image is continually being hurt by all this crap they keep pulling. They can repair their games later, but that doesn't mend all the damage done. EA's gonna have a real problem soon at this rate
