Uhm ... I think both of you have terrible attitudes. To the first poster, literally your language doesn't even make sense. "Meh" or "bad" games from EA are COMPLETELY your opinions, not facts. You CANNOT, I repeat: CANNOT judge a large company's morality using a wide brush. Look up how many employees EA has. Are you really going to try and say that all of those people are "bad" people? Heck, no. That would be illogical, right? Well ... there you go, you're being illogical. If you don't agree with some of the decisions EA makes, that's fine, but their company is made up with just as many people who truly enjoy games and the crafting of games as any other company, including Nintendo.

EVERY company will have their decision-makers that people will disagree with and attack as "bad," but to put a blanket judgment on an entire group of people is incredibly wrong and a lesson I thought most human beings were taught when they were young.

Between this and Deus Ex I'm just going to sit back, have some popcorn, and enjoy the show!

Unnecessary. They already have your credit card number.

Anyone who thinks EA games are bad by default is an idiot. They've killed some of my favourite franchises but they still make decent games.

They've got at least 3 very good games on Wii U (I've not played Madden but ME3 and NFS are good and the poor reviews of FIFA were pure lies). Even on the Gamecube and Wii they made better games than Nintendo did in plenty of genres:

Grand slam tennis> Wii Tennis or Mario Tennis
Tiger Woods> Wii Golf
FIFA"x"> Mario Strikers Charged
Godfather> Nintendo didn't have an equivalent
MOH:H2> Nintendo didn't have an equivalent
Dead Space Extraction > Nintendo didn't have an equivalent

LotR:RotK > Nintendo didn't have an equivalent
Freedom Fighters > Battalion Wars

I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.

Uh, sorry about I meant to say that by meh or bad games, I was trying to say there are some games that EA did make poorly like some of the Sims games, licensed games(Batman,Harry Potter, etc), some MMOs, etc. I not saying that EA make games that I'm not in too or anything like that, I'm just saying that make games that are bulided poorly.

The Megaman Battle Network series is underrated... I think, don't quote me on this.

Personally, I was just making a statement. I seriously have been trying to ignore Chrono_Cross since 2009. I think we even had an "agreement" to never talk to eachother again, but that didn't last long...he just knows exactly what to say to get my blood boiling. :/

Is EA really that bad. I mean from a pure games POV they make some really good stuff, but they tend to ruin it with mircotransations or always online.

But I like Fifa, Bioware, and Star Wars meaning I'll be buying at least one EA game every year.

WAT!

I don't really know enough to make a strong argument against EA, but I keep reading bad press about them. They make decisions that ultimately piss off their consumer base, such as SimCity's online failing miserably and Battlefield 4 being rushed so badly that it was broken when released. While I have no reason to hate them, I can understand why others would. If I bought a game that was broken right out of the box, why should I trust them? Why should I think that they are a good company?

So it seems that this is exclusive only because Sony didn't want it, since they didn't think the service offered a "good value for Playstation owners".
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/30/sony-passed-on-ea-acce...

In other words, they don't want this to directly compete with Playstation Now so that people won't complain as much about the ridiculous rental fees.

EA isn't that bad. From a games stand-point, they tend to put out pretty good stuff on average (or at the very least improve it later which... isn't the best, but hey, they have to in order to not completely lose consumer trust).

Frankly, from a purely ethics point of view, the console manufacturers (like Nintendo) are much worse than EA, what with the getting the consoles made at places in China where workers are severely underpaid compared to western nations, and where working conditions are so bad that companies like Foxconn had to set up nets to keep people from committing suicide at the workplace.

And even then, the video games industry is just an entertainment industry. I fail to see how anything it does is as bad as the likes of drug cartels that basically run countries.

In a sense, I can actually blame China as a country for the conditions of its workers. The manufacturers take advantage of their workers because it costs next to nothing as compared to a country with actual regulations for its workers

How else do you think I sleep at night?

At the same time, you could definitely say, "how dare those console manufacturers take advantage of an perpetuate such a morally deficient system?" Of course, it's more complicated than that.

you cannot blame sony for rejecting this offer
you cannot blame Microsoft for accepting it either, after all, most of the Xbox gamers play sports games

however

complaints are still coming to Xbox, and well, they are kinda right
they have to pay for gold services in order to pay for EA access, which means they must at least pay around 15 dlls for a service on a month
if they decide to hire both xbox live gold and EA Access, they must pay 80 dlls per year + 90% of each game they want (in case they end up buying them)
the situation is that you MUST pay gold, in order to access to this service, something which, as of this day, wouldn't be needed on PSN
and also, most of the people don't play every game EA has to offer, and it doesn't include potential DLC, so in the end they will end up paying more than 100 per year for the vault and discounts and early access (not including DLC), but that doesn't guarantee they will get the games they want.
Sure, according to this, there will be free games, however, an average customer will, according to reports, buy only 2 or 3 EA games per year, and considering the "vault" games will be removed after certain amount of time, they will be paying to wait for the favorite game to come available.
It is a good idea, if it wasn't because you need gold membership, and also, some digital games cannot be played without gold service... so if by any reason you got games through Games wth Gold or EA Access and you cannot or don't want to pay another month or year (gold), some of those games will become useless.

It's a good pair since you must have both every time if you want to receive full access.. and also, 10% discount is not a lot, considering a los of places pay taxes on digital content, simply put, memberships of 9.99 go to 10.50 dlls, and most of the people rather buy through cc instead of prepaid cards.

Just like how it overworks its employees to rush buggy games out the door. That was certainly "ethical". Or releases a game with a rabid fanbase only to butcher it in front of them as a free-to-pay scam. That was certainly a very "creative" decision on their part.

Deadlines. It's pretty obvious EA's developers are dedicated to their craft. Unless there were whips involved, of course.

Yes, it was a creative decision. A decision worthwhile for the company. How? Failure is knowledge. You cannot succeed without some form of failure. But, no, let's pretend EA is the only company who releases buggy games (Actvision, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Nintendo, Sony, etc).

EA has a strong following whether it's Battlefield, Bioware, or it's EA Sports franchise(s).

If EA didn't release entertaining games, the games wouldn't sell the way they do. (Stay in school.)

Last time I checked, Ubisoft published the TOm Clancy games; not EA.

You're right. I was getting ahead of myself when thinking of EA franchises that weren't Sim related.

I'm guessing you didn't read my other comment saying that I meant to say poorly programmed games EA had published before. But, @Chrono_Cross I think replying to every comment that is against EA and your logic is kinda getting old. Talk all you want, we might not give much.

Seems like a good deal if you like the games on offer. Battlefield 4, Peggle, Fifa, and Madden for $4.99 a month.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
