I debated whether or not to put the "comedy" disclaimer in the title, but I figured if I didn't I would make some people mad . In any case, anybody who grew up gaming in the 90's like me will probably find this funny. The character Keith Apicary has lots of videos talking about old school Sega gaming and I highly recommend them all.
Apparently he made a Dreamcast 2 music video as well. If you didn't find that first skit funny, odds are you won't find this funny either. His humor is definitely not for everyone but I love his references to 90s era gaming.
it was absent because the Wii U is basically already dead.
"I'll take a potato chip... AND EAT IT!"
Light Yagami, Death Note
"Ah, the Breakfast Club soundtrack! I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff!"
Phillip J. Fry, Futurama
Attention mods: could I just change the thread title to "Official Keith Apicary Thread"? I want to post some more of his videos and I think the current thread title would be misleading. Anyways, the Neo Geo video 6ch6ris6 is probably Keith's most famous video, but I think his Virtual Boy song is better. The video certainly is. He does all of his own stunts and some on here are quite impressive.
Thanks for the heads up on the thread title guys, most forums won't let you change them.
As for the Wii U, I don't think the guy playing Keith has anything against the Wii U. Keith is just a character, and he only likes Sega consoles and the Neo Geo. He does love the Virtual Boy though lol.
This is an older video that I believe @WaveBoy posted a few years back. It was the only thing that came up when I searched these forums for Keith Apicary lol. This may not be his funniest video, but Keith really shines when he is interacting with other people, and in this case he is interviewing people at the 2010 VGAs and exposing so-called "gamers" as phonies.
This is one of his songs he never made a video for, but it is really catchy with some clever lyrics. Anyone who grew up playing Genesis/Mega Drive and who remembers the whole uncensored Mortal Kombat on Sega will probably enjoy this.
Some of the lyrics:
"I'm drowning in my Sega knowledge
Impressing girls who go to college
I'm just like "Yeah, what's up girl? I like to play the real obscure
Did I mention I own Gley Lancer?"
I'm droppin' names in front of her
Why is she now rolling her eyes?
I just committed Segacide
I saw beyond oasis
I'm shining in the darkness
I am the ranger X
Riding over populous
SNES may as well wear a dress
I couldn't care less for a stupid princess
Why does Mortal Kombat's blood look like vomit?
If you want a blood bath buy a Sega then press...
ABACA and double B
I'm ripping dudes heads off ever since 93'
I wanna play my Genesis
Blast me with that proccess
I'll be riding Mega Drive up until the day I die"
Keith's next move is to conquer the WWE! He is trying to get on the next season of Tough Enough and with supporters like Rikishi and Dolph Ziggler I think he stands a chance. I haven't watched WWE since it was called WWF, but I would definitely start watching again to see Keith. This is a pretty entertaining video with a lot of celebrity appearances.
This video is just pure joy. You could be in the worst mood ever and this is guaranteed to cheer you up. He's not in his Keith Apicary character but it's still video game related. Fast forward to 1:40 for the dancing to start, although I find the opening skit funny...
Haha, that one is great! I love the Mario vs. Sonic and Keith's dating video too. You are right, his Keith character has changed since the first video you posted. I guess he's gotten more confident lol. I'm hoping he gets on WWE Tough Enough though, it would give me a reason to watch wrestling again.
Nathan is trying to bring back the Talking Classics series but he claims to not have enough time. Sadly, I do agree on AVGN lately. The humor just seems so forced these days. I still watch them and enjoy them, just not near as much as I once did.
