I'll just quote Banacheck and Tasuki for now, then I'll be back with more details:

I've been playing Diablo3 on the PS3, Blizzard have done an excellent job. Loading screens are super fast, no DRM, lag or the AH. I also agree it's a lot better than the PC version.

Ok been playing this alot the past few days and yes I have to agree alot better then the PC version. I noticed that the loot that drops is more tailored to your class I mean yeah I got a few Witch Doctor weapons but not the amount I got on the PC version. Plus the fact that my son and I can play co-op is another big plus. I am having alot of fun with this one.

@Happy_Mask: Well the storyline and world design is still the same as the PC version, the biggest difference is that this feels more like Diablo then the PC version. The biggest problem with the PC version of Diablo III was the Auction House game play wise. Because of the Auction house loot drops were bad. You would get alot of gear that you couldn't even use i.e. class specific gear. For the most part if you wanted any good gear you had to buy it off of the Auction House usually at an inflated price. Also if you could just buy your gear from the AH why they heck would you risk your life going into dungeons for better gear.

Because the console version doesn't have an auction house the loot that drops is more useful to your class for the most part. There is a sense of accomplishment that you get from finding that rare that you dont get from buying it on the AH.

Another big difference is the control scheme. The main difference when it comes to control is the addition of the dodge/evade move. By using the right analog stick on the 360 (Pretty sure its the same on the PS3 but I am not 100% since I dont own a PS3) your character will do a roll in the direction you press which adds another level of gameplay to the console version. I find it very useful and play my Demon Hunter alot different than I do on the PC version due to the addition of the dodge move.

The third major difference is the fact that you can have up to 4 player offline co-op, which if you had people to play the PC version with it, that might not be a huge difference for you. For someone though who only has one computer and wants to play with another person in the same household this makes a huge difference. For me I can play with my son where as before I couldn't.

The final difference and for me it really isn't a big deal a consent internet connection is not needed for the console version unlike the PC. For people who dont have internet or really bad connection this can be a great thing.

Honestly I was one of the many that was disappointed with the PC version of Diablo III and I am thoroughly enjoying this one. If you have played and beat Diablo III on the PC than it might be an idea to wait for a price drop on the console version, or get it now if you want a great offline co-op game to play with a few friends on the couch.

I hope that helps answer your question.

I'm a few hours in and really like it. I'm a level 10 female wizard. I'm a sucker for games that let you level up and buy and sell things.

Have you learned about salvage and making gear?

I have messed around with it a bit. I have done more salvaging than making gear. I have been training/upgrading the Blacksmith I think I have him to level 4? I figured it would be needed later on. I just finished act 1.

Nice. I think I am about half way through Act 1 with a female Demon Hunter. I got a few good items from the Blacksmith including a rare helm.

When do you come across the Jeweler? I'm in act 2 and I'm level 17 but haven't came across him yet?

This was a ridiculously smart move on Blizzard's part. They're gonna make a small fortune off this. But as a PC gamer who preordered Diablo III and played from the start, I'm pretty ticked off. Diablo III on the PC isn't a bad game - it's a bad Diablo game. I guess it's good to hear that the console versions are better.

Sorry I can't help you there. I never got far in the PC version cause of how bad it was in fact I am further in the console version than I was in the PC version.

I am off from work tomorrow so I am hoping to get a good amount of time in this game.

I'm pretty much in love with this game. It's making the wait for GTA so much easier. What follower do you guys bring with you the most? I pretty much always roll with the Enchantress.

You find the Jeweler in Act II or III, the thing with the Jeweler & Blacksmith you cannot max them out in one game [Play-through][level 10]. Everything carries over into your next play-through Nightmare, Hell, Inferno difficulty, you also cannot find the Pages of Blacksmithing/Jeweler,Tomes of Blacksmithing & Tome of Secrets in one Play-through. To level up the Blacksmith or Jeweler to level 10 you'll need to keep playing to inferno. Also you'll come across different events in different play-throughs, and different map layouts. Other words if you want to do everything in Diablo III, you've got a lot to play, which is good i love these sorts of games.

I've just started my Hell play-through today, playing on Hell/Hard.

There is a sense of accomplishment that you get from finding that rare that you dont get from buying it on the AH.

The RMAH was a mistake, the drops where A, useless as thay where for other classes or wasn't any good so you had to use the RMAH to get good gear. The drop system like you've point out on console is more tailored to the class your playing with better drops but not as meny, also i also prefer the control system on console i think it makes a difference, with the dodge feature gives it a more fluid feeling. And i also like the new Nephalem Glory not to be mixed up with Nephalem Valo, it stacks up each time if you get one up to X3 [stacks up 3 times].

I have never played it on PC so I can't compare the two but I love the controls on PS3. I just finished Act 2 last night. I plan on starting Act 3 later on today after Church and afternoon NFL games.

So the expansion for the PC version is coming out on the 25th Reaper of Souls. Alot of changes to the PC version was made as well. Gone is the Auction House and the loot drops are supposedly better. I haven't tried it out yet but I am getting the itch too. Sad thing is I really liked it alot more on the Xbox 360 and I am really waiting for the PS4 version to come out.

Anyway has anyone tried the PC version now since they closed down the AH and added the updates and stuff? How does it compare now then at launch? Also anyone picking up the expansion for the PC?

Always have been a huge fan of it. One of the best games out there for sure.

Ok well I played some of the PC version today (I dont have the expansion yet) but I definitely noticed the loot drops were alot better then before, meaning that I got a bunch of loot tailored more to my class. The control scheme still bugs me on the PC but honestly not that I am finding more loot tailored to my class I am really enjoying it.
