This Is Sooo good 😆 So much excitement. I'm so glad THQ Nordic has stepped up and decided to make the 3rd installment in the Darksiders franchise. I had lost all hope on getting any more Darksiders game along with THQ's bankruptcy in 2013 but had some hope when Nordic games bought the franchise and here we are in 2017 With the third one. Now we NEED this to come to Switch, the Darksiders games are so underrated only people who have played the game can express it. Nintendo needs to make this happen as darksiders games are not graphic heavy and more to do with art style. MAKE IT HAPPEN. I have a PS4 but I wan't to play it in Switch.

It's sort of odd that they'd go through the effort to port not one but two Darksiders games to Wii U but won't lift a finger to optimize a version of Darksiders 3 for Switch.

Sweet! I definitely want to play this one! Granted, I need to play the first two beforehand. Darksiders is a series I've always been genuinely interested in, and I plan on picking up the Warmastered edition that's releasing later this month for the Wii U.

If I get it, it'll be for the PS4, but I hope Nintendo makes a Switch version happen. Maybe an E3 announcement along with RE 7?

I think it almost has to come out on Switch, if only because I'm baffled as to why they've put all that work to port Darksiders 1 to Wii U in the first place if they had no plans to put it on Switch. If there ARE no plans for a Switch version, they are morons. On a very objective, business oriented way. No one could see them taking all this time to port Darksiders 1 on Wii U in 2017, and see any good financial reason to do so unless it is for Nintendo fan support to get fans to buy 3 in Switch.

It would be like if after Persona 4 was put on the Vita, Atlus decided to not put 5 on anything Playstation. Except even dumber, because at least Persona 4 Vita sold more than Darksiders 1 on Wii U will (to say the least).

@faint I wouldn't rule out RE7 coming to Switch.Capcom said recently they're trying to get the RE engine running on Switch.Seeing as RE7 is the only game that uses this engine so far suggests it's at least under consideration.Another big hint that it could be on the way to Switch is Capcom expect to sell another 2 million copies of RE7 this fiscal year. It's sold just over 3.5 million copies so far,the vast majority of sales coming in the opening few weeks so what makes them think they can shift another 2 million?I think it still has some DLC to come but that won't create such a huge upturn in sales.

It may be Switch get's the RE2 Remake instead which would be good as well.Since the N64,the only Nintendo console not to receive at least one RE game is the GBA.Capcom were involved in the development of Switch and said they plan to bring several AAA titles to it.I'd say the chances are high we'll be seeing something from the RE series soon.

There's also the fact that it is being released at a dirt cheap price. It's only AU$30 here (around US$20), and that is very cheap for what is technically a new release game. To put things into perspective, Puyo Puyo Tetris has a RRP of AU$60! And that's bloody Tetris! One of the simplest video games in existence! And I strongly doubt that Darksiders will sell in enough numbers this late into the Wii U's lifespan to make it worth porting, let alone at such a low price.

The geniuses at C®apcom did that with Resident Evil: Revelations 2. The first game was a 3DS exclusive for a time, and later ported to the Wii U. Revelations 2 was not released on any Nintendo platform whatsoever. Absolute stupidity!

I enjoy this series a lot. Wish we'd seen some actual gameplay though.

Other than that, I'm glad they look to have gone back to the post-apocalyptic city setting. I preferred that.

The character looks a bit generic though. Compared to the previous 2. Still, I'll forget about that within 10 minutes of playing.

Good to see that they're continuing the series, it would have been a shame if they wouldn't.
But "Fury"? That's not one of the four horsemen: Conquest (or sometimes Pestilence), War, Famine, and Death are the actual names, so it seems like they bastardized Conquest into Fury for some odd reason, which is a shame. They should have stuck to the original names.

Next thing you know they're going to call Famine Mr. Munchy instead...

@Tsurii That may be, but that was not my point. And if they can name half of them correctly, then why not the other two as well? There isn't a document on this Earth, ancient or modern, that has these variations in name for Conquest and Famine (other than the Pestilence variation for Conquest that I mentioned).

I know Darksiders is only a fantasy story in a game, but if you're going to lend ancient lore from the Bible, then you might as well do it the right way... (and no, I'm no believer, I just like things being done as they should and paying respect to the source material, regardless of where it comes from)

As for the voices: sorry, but I can't agree with you there. I can understand that you, being German or German speaking, would rather have that, but in my honest opinion games and movies should only ever be subbed, not dubbed.

I lived and worked in Germany for a while and I always wondered if the Germans never asked themselves what all these actors in movies and series REALLY sounded like. I remember trying to watch some episodes from the sitcom Alf, which was popular back then, but I just couldn't get over the stupid voices and accents. To humor some of my German friends, I did go to the cinema with them every once in a while, but I never really enjoyed it.

Even now, as I am living in the Netherlands (Amsterdam), and I speak the language fluently, I still prefer English/American over Dutch, especially in games. I have no issues with subs, but I think that English, especially with good voice actors, makes a game more engaging and/or cinematic. I always need to fiddle with console settings, though. Especially on my Xbox with EA games and such because otherwise, I would have to play games in Dutch... Oh, the horror...

And when available, I also like Japanese voices, but that is in part also because of me liking anime.

For the record: I do watch native Dutch and German shows and series. In German, I especially like crime series, which in my opinion is something that the Germans are really good at.

@GrailUK That just makes me even more curious. Damn notifications...
It's almost like getting a present and then opening the box to find nothing there. It was a bit odd clicking on "reply" in the notification and then getting transferred to this page and wondering about the disappeared comment...

This is REALLY cool news. My first thought is "no way this comes to Switch" but then I remember how THQ|N has gone to great lengths to continue bringing DS1 to WiiU and I can't imagine them doing that if they weren't actively trying to build a base for the series on Nintendo hardware for future titles. Further, it's a fantasy series based fairly overtly on the Zelda series, and lo and behold the Switch is a platform that comes baked in with >100% support for fantasy games and the Zelda series. If I were a production planner for DS3 I'm pretty sure I wouldn't wonder too long what platforms might have an interest in DS when I look at BotW numbers So there's a fair chance this is one of our AAA multiplats. And I whole heatedly approve if so!

@ThanosReXXX I've never understood why people might not want native dubing in a game. I don't NEED it, I've played a few Japanese games subbed not dubbed, but it does add something when you can hear the characters actually talking and get their inflections, and it does help if you have a clue what they're saying And if the inflections are localized. I can get context and such from Japanese games, but sometimes the acting methods just don't work (at all) for Western emotion cues. Same for German, Alf seemed weird to you...but the locals watching it certainly all felt comfortable with it. That's the argument FOR dubs, not against, the inflections worked for the native speakers, but not for you. Meaning the inflections from the original material worked for you...but probably not at all to the locals. The German dub for BotW sounds HORRIBLE to me. But the German players seem to think it's the best! All good reasons to have the dubs.

Defense of the faux-British Zelda accent aside... true story, ever time I have to hear the Blood Moon speech I talk back to the screen in the absolute worst, most dreadful, offensive Oliver Twist cockney accent I can muster "Oh blimey, it's a bloody moon!" It seems mandatory now
