C'mon... some of you know gotta know him. That orange marsupial from the PlayStation ages? I pretty much grew up with him. Well, I'm only thirteen, but my first home console was a PlayStation, and Crash 3 was the first game I played for it.
Well 2 and 3 are two of my favorite PS1 games. CTR is one of my favorite racing games. The first two GBA games are great platformers. Wrath of Cortex is alright, but it's brought down by horrible loading times. As for the rest, I've never played them (e.g. Crash Bash) or they suck (e.g. Crash Purple).
@Nintyfan: Agreed. I played Crash of the Titans and it's gameplay is vastly inferior to the PS1 games and I'm sure modern Spyro games are exactly the same way.
I honestly never thought of Crash as a marsupial; more like an anthropomorphic dog. Anyway, I really like the Crash Bandicoot games, especially Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. I played all five games for the PlayStation back when I still lived in Italy (Crash Team Racing and Crash Bash were fun, too).
Had Crash 3 and Team Racing as well as the first Spyro game...they are amazing but a shame that the series is not as good as they were (like Sonic).
Maybe, like Sonic, the developers will eventually come to their senses?
And maybe it'll start raining Strawberry Shortcakes
The developers who now make Uncharted? or the devs who effectively bought out the franchise?
lol, bu-bu-but I LIKE STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKES! D:
Oh Gawd so do I.
And I meant the guys who have it now, but it would be awesome if Sony bought back the license it gave it to someone like Ready at Dawn or High Impact games. The series would be waaaay better in their hands.

*High fives.
Maybe, but we all know what usually happens when other devs under a publisher try their hand at an alien IP. (Dimps and Sonic doesn't work anymore, loved Advance and Rush but other then that, they aren't up for it anymore.)
If any of those you mentioned made Crash, it'd certainly improve....same for Spyro.

And I agree with the last part, and that licenses under foriegn developers usually suck (though R@D and HI work wonders with them), but....Dimps not working out anymore? I loved Rush Adventures (though admitedly more for the minigames than the stages, but DAMN those were some good mini-games), and Sonic 4 and Sonic Colors had some solid demoes and get a lot of praise. Oh well, opinions opinions, everyone has them.
It's not like I hate them, they are a good developer...but Sonic 4's physics were slightly annoying (holding left/right to keep the momentum or you drop like a stone) and Sonic Colours was supervised by Sonic Team (although even they can't make a great Sonic game anymore...well...Colours and Unleashed have bucked the trend).
I guess getting those devs to work with Crash and Spyro would be good then...since they'd have a clean sheet.
Anyway, that dev who made Dash of Destruction are creating a few PSP games I recall.
Indeed, we all do...it's a shame there are a few who think of themselves as the opinion. (not in this forum btw, in another one I go to)
My first game for the PSX I played and bought was the first Crash. I even bought the game on sale a week before I got my Playstation. I read the manual for a week straight. The first 3 Crash games and CTR made by Naughty Dog were all good. Anything after that developed by other teams sucked. Crash 2 is still one of my favorite 3D platformers like ever. In fact my Xbox live gamertag is CrashBandicoota. That's how much Crash mattered in my life.
Send me the best you've got. Send me your strongest machines. The fight my brother fought, here, now, will end with me.
My sister got me into the series, and I love it. We have almost every game, although we're partial to the Naughty Dog era. Despite having the original discs, I've downloaded the original trilogy onto the PS3 just in case the discs are too scratched up to play anymore. I have Crash of the Titans, which is an ok game. Even the PS2 games are all right.
I downloaded Crash Team Racing, which is the first time I've ever had the game. It's an awesome racer, although it feels like a ripoff of Diddy Kong Racing. I wish Crash Bash would come to PSN North America.
I see a trend going on with Crash considering what Sonic is like currently.
The trilogy were the pinnacle of the series. The next mainline game's were considered mediocre but still fun...the next batch (Twin Sanity and Sonic Adventures 1/2/Heroes) are either lived or hated and after that...the series went downhill.
Both of their Advanced series were considered "back to the original gameplay" and were praised but other then that...
I always liked the old crash games, with expection of spin-off titles like Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing. Although the gameplay may not be as good as it used to be in the newest games, I see that they've added up a nice amount of humor.
