EDIT: I think they should at least do it for Wii U, PS3, and 360 instead if it's not going to be on 3DS (The PS3 version could be playable on PS4 through Gaikai).
meh, let 'em have it. code of princess was ok, but would i shell out for a sequel? probably not.

There probably won't be much change in the sequel unless there it was a open world so we won't be missing much, still didn't beat the first one because I got bored of it.
also, the only reason Dragon's Crown got the attention it did was because of controversy, that's not a good reason to go to Xbox One (if there is any good reason)

The port of Guardian Heroes did well on Xbox 360, that's a good enough to put a sequel to a spiritual succssor on the system. Also for all we know Xbox One, become the big console this next cycle.
WAT!

I'm surprised Code of Princess wasn't an XBLA/PSN game, tbh. This is probably better for it, unless they make it a Retail game again, in which case...it'll suicide no matter what the platform. Honestly, the CoP sold miserably, and there's only so much nostalgia you can bank on.

True, but that had nostalgia and an infinitely more owners of the console. Unless they're planning to wait 3 or so years to release this.
I understand the interest to put it on other systems, but this seems like a bad way to get a real fanbase.

At this point an indie or B game like this should be targeting as many platforms as the developer can.

You people obviously didnt read the article from GoNintendo.com.
It said that maybe it will be for consoles like Playstation 4 or Xbox One. No where did it say that it was coming for them and no where did it say that its not coming to 3DS heck it didnt even say it was coming out.
@OP: Next time read the article before jumping to conclusions.

Agreed, but if so then why target the ones with the least support specifically? Even most of the "important games" next gen games are also on 360/PS3. Unless it is doing something that couldn't be done on current gen consoles, I don't get it.
What next, the sequel to Liberation Maiden will be on Sony and an entirely different genre?! ...wait
Probably due to the ease of Self-publishing and getting dev kits for the new systems. (PS4 at least) He's also looking at it from being a soewhat hardcore/niche title and wanting to cultivate a fanbase on those platforms early this generation. Apparently COP did great in the west and I'm guessing the bulk of those sales were eshop versus retail.
Atlus as a whole is accompany that's going to benefit and change its strategy to incorporate more of the digital market place, since most of their games usually have a limited print run.
