Topic: Character Tracking Programs for Tabletop RPGs?

Hey, I got some tabletop RPGs (well, .pdf resources for them, at least) I wanted to try out on my own to see how they play. I don't really have any experience with these kinda things, though, I mostly just want to practice character-building and making simple scenarios.

However, the biggest hurdle is just keeping track of all these stats, mostly because I'm terrible at math, and I don't want to keep track of them in a physical notebook. I've tried looking around for things I could use, but I've mostly been finding ones that are specific to certain games, none of which are the ones I'm playing (we're talking really obscure ones here, including Albedo and Ars Magica 4th Edition). I definitely don't think I'll bother with D&D or Pathfinder, and Star Wars isn't really my thing, either, so I'm not gonna switch gears just to accomodate the majority here.

At the very least, I already have the character sheet templates for most of them, so now I'm wondering if there's some other way I could do it, like an Excel spreadsheet (or rather, the OpenOffice equivelant, which I haven't used yet). One didn't even have character sheet, though, and even the sample sheet seemed improvised. I'm probably going to have to make one myself, since it was apparently just something that was sold at a convention...I guess? Like, there's so little info on it, that I'm kind of afraid I might be in for a Jumanji-type scenario...

...anyways, I did surprisingly find a program for creating character sheets, but it's pretty unintuitive, and I can't make heads or tails of the instructions it came with. I think I might still have to track them by hand if I went that route, too.

If anyone knows of a program I could use to easily track character stats for multiple different games/rulesets, and/or have some tips for tracking them in OpenOffice, I would greatly appreciate that!
