I've read letters and posts from people who bought Nintendo 64s and GameCubes for the next Earthbound game and people who bought PlayStation 3s for Monster Hunter 3 and I gotta say it gets grating. Those are just examples though. I'm not innocent either: I bought a DS for Super Princess Peach before it was out because GameCrazy was having a deal where you get a free game if you purchase a DS and I also wanted Metroid Prime Pinball. If a certain unreleased game is only one of the reasons you want a certain system and there are other games already out for it that interest you, fine, but if an unreleased game is the prime reason for purchasing a system and its cancellation (or turning out to be crap) would be devastating to you, know that you are taking a risk with your impatience.
*I don't know how I missed that type the first time around.
And we don't already know this? So some people make mistakes big woop.
Some people make mistakes and complain to everyone about it and are just generally annoying; not big whoop, big annoying.

I can't think of any reason that anyone would do that :/
Some people are incredibly impatient. Also, some people will buy a system based on the promise of a new game they think will be good, but once it comes out, and it's crappy or gets cancelled, they have nothing to play, and they get mad.
For instance: All the people who bought a Wii thinking they could redownload their old N64 collection on VC.
I wanted my old SNES collection on my Wii, although, that dream is fairly close to being realized and I waited a year to get a Wii so I knew what to expect... I also got a 360 a couple months ago pretty much just for Bad Company 2, but the 360 has been out for a while and I know that there are other games on it I want. Also, I got my 360 after the reviews for Bad Company 2 came out...

I only get nintendo systems and I always get them soon after launch because there's always a large amount of games that I want to get on nintendo systems.
Lots of stuff annoys me. People who buy consoles on the promise of a game that ends up not appearing, and then start whining about it on forums and such? Not so much.
I will always buy Nintendo consoles as soon as I can, regardless of whether or not its current library of games is "worth it"—and chances are there would be at least a few that I'd want to play—or not, because I know that once the initial slow release-date slump is over there would be much greener pastures ahead (i.e., excellent, innovative and fun games that you wouldn't see on the other competing systems)...

Me.I've always bought every Nintendo system on release day (except NES) cause I know for sure there is gonna be Nintendo games on em' anything else is a bonus. I've then usually bought I second system a couple of years down the line when they have a good library.I only bought a 360 a couple of years ago for example. Works well for me,I've got so many great games at the moment and ones soon to be released its just amazing. I can't remember a better time for gamers, especially Nintendudes.
EDIT : Errrrrr ............. Why was this one locked? Am I missing something?

You know, that's what I used to say. Then I got the Nintendo DS, which ended up just sitting around collecting dust until a good game finally came out for it. I know it's got a great collection now, but if it weren't for Meteos and Nanostray, I would've sold the darn thing, especially since the game I bought it for sucked, and a lot of games I had been looking forward to were cancelled or changed. Now I know to wait a couple years before getting a console, no matter what.

i'm sure we'll all take your advice to heart.
