Just a touch over 2 months away, and this long talked about beast hits shelves. Will it stomp all over Heavy Rain? Deliver a haymaker like The Last of Us? Is it on your day one list? If you don't care for the cinematic dramaz, it's probably not for you. But then again, Willem Dafoe. 'nuff said.

The game, which features psychological, spiritual and thriller elements, is centered around questions about what happens after death. The game lets the player take Jodie Holmes through 15 years of her life (ages 8 through 23) on a journey to discover the true meaning of the entity Aiden, who has been alongside her throughout her life. The game's producer noted that players might be able to find out "what lies beyond" after playing it.

I hope this does well without me, like The Last of Us did, because this looks like a very interesting concept with a lot of love behind it...but I can't help be bored by everything I've seen from it. The Last of Us had the same effect on me, TBH. I think I may be beyond saving when it comes to western action games - there's just no way they can appeal to me anymore.

Looking forward to this

Not expecting this to be of Naughty God quality, but great nonetheless.

I plan on pre-ordering it which is something I rarely do. I really enjoyed Heavy Rain and I think this is going to blow it out of the water.

Perhaps worth noting from the wiki...

GameStop will release exclusive downloadable content (DLC) of an additional 30-minute scene for those who pre-order the game. Also available while supplies last is a "special edition" which comes in steelbook packaging and includes various bonus features

To be honest it doesn't look that great to me. It looks a little too much like a Hollywood movie, and games are capable of so much more than that.

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

They're offering a collector's edition for the standard price of $60 and it has an interesting story and some great talent lined up so I pre-ordered right away. I didn't care for Heavy Rain but it sounds like David Cage and crew listened to some criticism that that game received and will be giving this one a bit more of a 'gamey' feel while still keeping the interactive movie approach of HR.
