Topic: Batman Arkham Asylum

Slapshot, when I finished it, I had one thought...man I can't wait to play the open world sequel. In the end, I felt this game was almost a test pilot for a sequel. I mean, the game is seamless (except for said terrible level) and I found the controls/gameplay so tight and I loved the story (told my friends THIS should be the 3rd Batman...at least it'd have Mr. Zsasz!) but as big as Arkham was, I still thought it was sort of small so...next game? Complete open Gotham. I mean, you and I both know the end of the game and what we know is there is still a TON of villains who weren't even in Arkham for this game...still on the loose in Gotham? I think so!

Also, and this is just a thought...I'd love for the Wii to get some love with the Batman games so...Eidos...here's a thought, you already got most of the animated series voice acting, you have Paul Dini writing the storyline, so how about doing a Wii version in the original animated series style and by that I mean graphically? I don't think this would work, I KNOW this would work. Plus, the only decent Batman game prior to Arkham Asylum was the old Animated Series game on the Genesis IMO.

Who would've thought that beating the crap outta people as Batman would be more fun than, you know, doing Batman like things, like swinging around the city, and sneaking up on people?

@J Bitties... I still havent beaten it yet and I almost dont want to cause I dont want it to end. The game is just to freakin good to end. Ive been playin GTA4 lately just to expand my time with the game. Im hopin we will see some new DLC for the game as well as a sequel.

Bwahahah! Just beat the two titans (the first two you encounter after Joker injects them.) I did a 20-move combo on one of them and got the mano-a-mano trophy! This game is so much fun.

@clicktyclick.... glad your enjoying it. I think my highest combo is like in the high 30s I think. Im sure the combo where you have to do all the moves to get the trophy will the the hardest one in the game. I WILL Platinm trophy this game.

I think you're right about that one being the hardest. I'm working through it with a friend and we're going to get that damn trophy if it kills us. But preferably before then.

I also definitely want 100% completion on this. It's going to take a long time though to do all those challenge rooms. Some people have ridiculous times on them. :S

@clicketyclick..... Yeah the challenge rooms are pretty dang difficult, but You only have to have 2Bats on each of them if Im not mistaken. I think Ive done 4 of them as Bat and 5 as Joker at the moment. They are a LOT of fun though.

@castlehominid..... Run out to get it when you get your disc drive fixed. ITs that good.

This game is going to be sick. JUst played the demo. Already have it but can't lay it until my blue ray disc drive is fixed.

I hope there's a sequel, this game was a great adventure. And Batman doesn't seem to get old, hope the Joker makes a return too, Two-Face would be great as well.

@slapshot - i'm doing the challenge rooms now. Is it just me or are the "extreme" versions of the stealth challenges easier than the regular versions? Haven't tried joker yet - does he count towards your trophies and percent completion? Oh, and are you sure you only need two bats to get 100%? I'm not sure about that.

@clicketyclick..... Im not sure about the two bats for 100 percent completion but I thought that is what it said. My new job is four days a week wich is awesome but sadly Im up at 3am and get home at 6pm to go right to bed at about 8pm so my game time has been very limited for about two weeks. Im about to go turn on the ole PS3 again in a few though lol.

Agh! I finally got a Platinum! Dang, that was rough. I'd feel like taking out my aggression on some thugs if that wasn't the reason that kept me from getting a platinum for so long. Darn those combat challenges!

Nice Job Trevor_Fox. Ill add you to my Friends List too. I put a couple of hours into the game and loved it even more. Im playin on hard and the part where the Joker sends out a Titan and a crap load of henchmen around the Poison Ivy fight, took me like a hour and a half to beat that fight. I keep poppin in other games Im working through as well and prolonging my beating Arkham cause I just dont want it to end but Im at the end now, Ill beat it this weekend prob then persue the Challenge Rooms head on.

..... Can you still persue the 240 Riddler Challanges after youve beaten the game or do I need to do that before beating the game. Ive got like 80% now and Im at the Party.
